Hello everyone. This is my first post here, and I thought I'd start by posting my fanfiction (or at least the location of it) for ADGTH here. It's rather long so I thought it best to just leave it on Fanfiction.net and direct you to it. Copy and paste the link below:
Now, I am a great fan of the movies, particularly the first, but honestly, I think that the series and the christmas movie really failed to live up to the standard set by the first one. Therefore, my fanfic takes places about half a year after the end of the second movie, primarily for the reason that Charlie is dead at the end of the first one, and ignoring the series. I'm still writing, and I have a full size plot in the works, so expect updates long into the future =D. If anyone has any questions or just wants to talk about the plot I am unfolding, please don't hesitate to speak you mind. I am still writing it, so what you say may have important impacts on what is to come. I hope you all enjoy my writing and I look forward to your posts, both praise and constructive critisism are welcome!

I have seen the story on fanfic net. It is a really good story. I can't believe Charlie would go back to his old life of drinking and gambling. Let's hope he learns something near the end. Are you going to include Itchy in it? He is my favorite character. Keep up the good work.

Thank you all for the kind responses. To adidas, I am going to include Itchy in the next chapter! However, there is a certain twist that I am loath to spoil for you readers. I haven't actually gotten to the part where he appears, but I am close. I hope I can be faithful to his character, him and Charlie are the most well developed in the series. As for Charlie going back to his "old" life, I am of the opinion that he never really left it. It is his angst and lust for life that really attracts him to me as a character. He would be a totally different canine without it, and not nearly as interesting. I think Charlie would forever seek the riskier path because he enjoys the challenge and the fun at the danger of failing, also, he's a slacker and I love that about him because it's constantly getting him into trouble. I think I probably brought out the worst in him for my fanfic, but he has learned important life lessons during the first two movies and that is an integral part of his make-up; he regrets now, and his motives, if you've read the story, are not entirely selfish. He is definitely not an alcoholic, but he does know how to have fun, and as for the gambling, its his "thing" it's a talent for him, the thing he's good at. Rolling the dice, living high one minute, down in the gutters the next. This epitomizes the character of Charlie, but he knows how to work it so that he turns out on top... or so he thinks... heh heh heh *cue dramatic music* So in short, I don't think of it as going backwards, or ignoring anything (besides the series and Christmas movie which were entirely too cartoony), rather as a different and unexplored means of bringing out Charlie's character.

You wrote that? I finished reading all that was up the other night. Overall it's a pretty good fic, and I'm really enjoying your take on Charlie's character. It's almost like I imagine he should had been in anything after the second film. And part of the concept reminds me of the japanese legend of the holy dogs, wich make sure demons don't take over and fully influence mortal souls. Seriously, it's one of the best fics I've read. I was almost dissappointed to see it's not updated often. But then again, sometimes one has to patient in order tosee something good unfold. Wich is just what this fic is. Keep it up, cause I'm really looking forward to more. And I'm not to big on fanfiction...so this is me saying ALOT.
