But remember in the church when Anne Marie found out that Charlie stole the wallet and ran up to the attic. In the 'Soon You'll come Home' scene Anne Marie has flashbacks? of 'the wallet family', her, Flo, and the puppies together as a family.
I always wondered about that part.
Is that the life she wants to live? Or was it her life before?
Although Flo and the puppies would've recognized her.
That part is so confusing.

It's her idea of home.

sooo....on wikipedia it said that all dogs go to heaven was based around the ideas of "its a wonderful life, a guy named joe and little miss marker" annddd the part of the plot summary of little miss marker is:
"Marky" (Temple), whose father gives her to a gangster-run gambling operation as a "marker" (collateral) for a bet. When the man loses his bet and commits suicide, the gangsters are left with the girl on their hands. They decide to keep her temporarily and use her to help pull off one of their fixed races, naming her the owner of the horse to be used in the race."
something like that maybe?

That sounds like Anne-Marie! Only she deals with rats and not horses. Except that one part where Charlie takes her to the horse races. Eh....lol

I always assumed he tricked her/lied to her and she ended up living with him. I agree. But if she was an orphan, which orphan would be stupid enough not to go into an oprhanange One that can talk to animals and depend on them.

Poor Anne Marie! Her talking abilities were really more of a curse than a blessing in many ways, I wonder how Carface found out about her? I'd hate to think somebody betrayed or sold her to him.

I do not know why Anne-Marie got a Carface, but I have a version. I believe that poor Anne-Marie lost her parents at an early Age. Then she got into shelter, which was then, and ran away. Then she could see Carface trick to lure in business. (

They really should shed some more light on this. Like when Charlie 'rescues' her he could have said, 'How'd you wind up with Carface?' or something. I get the feeling that maybe, possibly, she was Killer's owner and once Killer got mixed up with Carface he blabbed about her secret?
Maybe she was Carface's owner?
