Chapter 1:Junkyard dreams
The Easter holidays were drawing up, as was Zaka's frist brithday. (Or seventh brithday in dog years) Sasha went shopping for her young pup, or garbage hunting more like. Charlie had to hold Zaka back from sneaking off.
"You never know dude, people buy stuff like fancy collars and stuff, but who wants them?" Retriever said. Zaka had two best friends, Fetch and Retriver, who were both stray orphaned twins, who lived on thier own. "But you ARE a house pup-"
"Don't say stuff that'll wind me up!" Zaka snarled. He took a glance at Fetch, who was wilding chasing his tail. "Why can't you be more like Fetch?!"
"Alrighty then, I will. HOUSE PUP, HOUSE PUP, HOUSE PUP!" Retriver sang, bouncing around Zaka.
"Alright, wrong choice of words. Could you shut up?!" Zaka snapped.
"Ohhhhh... he's getting defensive!" Fetch said, stopping the tail chasing.
"Oh no! We better run!" Retriver laughed. The two golden retriever twins starting running in slow motion. When Zaka pounced, they set off in stray pup speed, which is quite fast, and the scattered in two directions.
"C'mon guys, cut me some slack! Its not like I WANNA be a house dog! David comes over to frequently to our house and shows me boring stuff like... magic tricks and stuff, it SUCKS!" Zaka complained. Fetch and Retriever laughed. Retriever wazlked up with that stray dog look.
"Don't be depressed man, not all of us are meant to be junk dogs! Some of us dogs are meant for the cosy life! Like you!" he said.
"I am NOT meant for NO cosy life!" Zaka snarled.
"Hey hey hey, your only a pup!" Fetch said.
"So are you!"
"You have a point..." Fetch jumped onto the Flea Bite counter, startling Bess and Gerta. He skidded downwards towards the soda tap to help himself. "But your dad IS an angel, one of em goodie goodie, do-everything-you-say-"
"Trust me, if you knew my dad well enough, you would rephrase that!" Zaka said, trying to copy Fetch's movements. He banged his head against the counter and fell back.
"Really Zaka, what has gotten you into this stunt dog stuff?!" Gerta muttered. "Your a future-"
"Guardian angel! As if I haven't heard it enough!" Zaka moaned, slumping onto a stool. "What if I don't wanna?!"
"You have to dear" Bess said.
"But its no fun! All I do is rescue people from danger-"
"That sounds awesome to me!" Fetch butted in, from his soda drinking. "Dude, you'll be like a super-hero! A... a... um... thing! That saves people!"
"Nice description bro" Retriver said, hopping up beside Zaka. "But Bessie there has a point, you gotta do it!"
"No I don't! I can tell miss prissy I don't have to, and I don't wanna!" Zaka huffed.
"Miss prissy?" Gerta asked.
"Annabelle." Zaka slumped foward. "Any odds on a free soda Gerta?!"
"I don't think so. Just cause your the owners son-"
"She can fire you!"
"Your not an hieress Zaka." At that, Gerta walked off. Zaka snarled.
"Ah, I'm SICk of being trapped in some apartment with mum, dad and Itchy! I wanna be wild and free and non-angelic like Fetch and Retriver! I wanna be like... uh... like... like a junk dog!" Zaka said, jumping up onto the counter.
"Hold on there wise guy, being a junk dog is nothing but trouble" a farmilar voice rang out.
"But dad, I wanna be WILD! Wild and free, feeling the trace of the dog-catcher right on my tail, feeling the danger of an alley-dog being near, being lured by Belladonna, then having her tail handed her by me-" Zaka said, holding Fetch's tail in his paw.
"Zaka, talk sense!" Charlie said, lifting his son off the counter. Sasha followed in afterwards. "You don't want anything to do with Belladonna! And-"
"And what? I wanna live the easy life?! No thank you!" Zaka growled. he watched Retriver and Fetch do thier stray defensive skills on each other. "I wanna fight! I wanna-"
"Stay inside with us" Sasha said, taking Zaka off Charlie. "Took the words right outta your mouth, right?"
"I was actually gonna say I wanna be free" Zaka muttered. Zaka's mind strayed off into a daydream of being a junk dog. Fighting, scoffing and playing with his two best buddies all day long! How could life be any better than that?!
Chapter 2: Zaka meets Annabelle
"Zaka, time to go home!" Sasha said. Zaka didn't come, much to Sasha's surprise. She searched the flea bite frantically, and suddenly went into a panic attack. Noticing Gerta and Bess nearby, she ran over.
"Gerta! Bess! Have you seen Zaka?!" she asked. Gerta scoffed.
"Did you try the alley-way?" she asked. Sasha was about to check, until she saw Zaka run in, with a banana peel over his snout.
"You called mum?" he asked.
"Zaka, don't scare your mum like that!" Charlie demanded. Zaka scoffed silently to himself.
"I'm a junk dog, I don't need to let anyone go off the hook!" Zaka said. he got into a pouncing posistion and growled as loud as he could, which wasn't very loud. "I can scare whoever I wanna scare!"
"Well one of those 'whoevers' are not me!" Sasha said, grabbing Zaka gently in her jaws. "Besides, we have someone who wants to meet you for the frist time!"
"Whos that?! Is it... uhhhh... a junk dog?!" Zaka said, exicitedly.
"Annabelle?! A junk dog?! Tried that before!" Charlie laughed. Zaka's setters tail drooped, and his german sheperd face dropped into a 'your kidding' look. "Sorry son, but I had to do the same thing."
"Annabelle?! Aw no, Fetch and Retriever will laugh at me!" Zaka groaned. "Who said I have to?!"
"She did, Zaka" Charlie said, considering Sasha couldn't talk at the moment, because she was carrying Zaka in her jaws, gently though.
"I don't wanna work for that flying nun!"
"Oh, must everybody call me that?" called a heavenly voice. Annabelle was in a window, with a huffy face and her arms crossed.
"Yea, well I will! Cause I'm a junk dog!" Zaka said, doing his best growls. "I don't own up to anyone, or anything. Not anyone, not no how!"
"Oh Zaka! You are just like your father!" Annabelle laughed. Sasha put Zaka down on the ground afterwards.
"HEY!" Charlie snapped. "I'm right here!"
"Anyway," Annabelle said, ignoring Charlie, "I wanted to meet my future guardian angel."
"I ain't gonna be your guardian angel! Not now, not ever! Cause I'm-"
"Zaka, you are not a junk dog!" Annabelle said, getting cross. "You are good and kind like your mother, father and godfather!"
"No, I'm not! I'm gonna run wild and free!" Zaka growled, thumping his two front paws on the window against Annabelle. "And the frist person I'm gonna take down is you!"
"Oh Charles, I hope you plan to knock some sense into your son!" Annabelle said, sadly. This inraged Zaka. He took a brick sharply in his small jaws, which gave him alot of trouble but he managed, and tossed it as strong as he could at the window. It broke it, sending Annabelle into shrill cries of shock and anger.
"See dad?! I am a junk dog!" Zaka said exicetedly.
"Zaka, we're going home!" Sasha said, taking Zaka in her jaws again, and trotting home.
Chapter 3:Dreams become half reality
That night, after all three adults went to bed, Zaka crept away from his cruled up mother and sat on the abonded sofa, thinking.
Some of us dogs are MEANT for the cosy life! echoed Retrievers voice. Zaka growled and looked at the open window. he trotted towards it and looked down. It was quite high, but there was window ledges down below.
Being a junk dog is nothing but trouble! echoed his dad, Charlies, voice. Zaka gulped. But he found himself clambering up on the window ledge. The lege creaked and Zaka winced. He opened one eye to find that no one had heard. He sighed in relief and let one back leg dangle off. Much to his fear, he couldn't feel the second ledge under his paw. He was about to haul himself back up, when his second back leg slipped off and he grabbed onto the edge, whimpering. He dared to look down, only to see the next ledge, about five centimeteres under his dangling back legs. He took a deep breath and let go of the his own window ledge. He whined as he fell, but luckily he didn't fall all the way down.
"Close one Zakers..." he muttered to himself. He did the same, but this time he missed. He yelped as the air flew past him and he fell into the bush.
"OW! Oh... well... at least I'm down here alive" he muttered. He busted out of the bush. He was free. He was wild. He was scared. He whimpered for a bit.
"Aw, what are ya whimpering about?! Your wild and free! This is want I wanted!" Zaka said to himself. he shook of his fear and galloped off into the night. He saw house's of all sorts, with thier lights on. He suddenly felt small and whimpered again. Pups like him shouldn't be out here alone. He suddenly saw a large black and white collie bound upwards, followed by a ginger mutt, and a siberan huskey and a scruffy setter and a second black and white collie. And who were those two little pups following?!
"Fetch and Retriver!" Zaka squeaked. But he was more fixed on the leading collie, bounding the pack along the road. Suddenly a dogcatchers van pulled over the corner and a dogcatcher jumped out and chased them.
"I didn't know they did night shifts..." Zaka said, watching the dog catcher follow the mutts. He swiped a net at Fetch, who swiftly lept over it, and the huskey skidded around and gragged the nets handle in his jaws. Suddenly a third puppy bounding up, who seemed to look quite like Bess, only was all cream coloured. She helped the ginger mutt with ruining the vans wheels. Fetch and Retriver just distracted the catcher... as for the collies... the frist swiftly caught the dog catchers sleeve, and the strongest and the leader swiftly leapt over the catcher and took the net sharply in his jaws, and they all ran off.
"JUNK DOGS!" Zaka cried in joy. He waited until the catcher left and then he followed them. He ran as fast as he could, but he couldn't find them anywhere. Until he saw a shadow. It was the female pups shadow. he grinned and was about to make his way over until...
"No Zaka!" cried a heavenly voice. Muttering stuff under his breath he turned to the dirty broken mirror.
"What do you want Annabelle?!" he demanded. "I'm about to be a junk dog!"
"You do not know what Scott is like! He's mean and horrible!" Annabelle cried. "He even took down Belladonna!"
"Oh, that was only once!" said a second voice. Belladonna appeared in the mirror next to Annabelles. "So, Barkin number two huh?"
"Coorection, JUNK YARD Barkin, the second!" Zaka said, growling his junk dog growl. "I work for NOBODY!"
"How about I change that, hm? You work for me, and I will defiantly get you into the junk dogs!" Belladonna said, smoothly. Zaka pondered over this.
"Sorry, but I belong to NO ONE now! Not even you!" Zaka said. He couldn't find any bricks so he just ran. Belladonna and Annabelle appeared in front of him.
"Zaka, you must understand, Scott is not a fool!" Annabelle pleaded.
"Yea Zakeroo, but if you work for me, you could throw that fool down!" Belladonna smirked.
"Did I just say he was no fool, cousin?!" Annabella snapped. the two cousins got in a quarrel after that, and when they heard Zaka gasp, they turned thier heads to see a large collie charge thier way and pin them down.
"Well, lookie here! Whippets!" said the collie in a gruff voice.
"Scott, you mustn't hurt us... well me anyway" Annabelle said.
"Scott, baby, you-"
"What'choo call me Bellaidiot?!" Scott snarled. Belladonna stared back at the mutt. She couldn't use magic, as Scott had her collar now firmly around his own neck. He got off them.
"SCRAM!" he yelled. Both whippets fled.
"Wow... that was awesome!" Zaka said. Scott, only noticing Zaka just now, grinned an evil grin at the pup.
"Thanks kid!" Scott said. He trotted off, but Zaka followed.
"Hey, mister Scott?" he said.
"Oh please, whats with the 'mister'?! 'Scott' will just do for me!" Scott said.
"Ok... Scott? I wanna be a junk dog! Like you!" Zaka said. Scott looked at the puppy.
"Alrighty then! Come here tomorrow and we'll see if your up for the test!" Scott said.
"But I have nowhere to go!" Zaka said. "I-" He was swept off the ground, as Scott took firm hold of him in his jaws and carried him off.
I'm gonna be a junk dog! Zaka thought, excidetly.

Chapter 4: The search
"Zaka?! Where are you buddy?!" Itchy called under the sofa. Alas, no little growl met his cry. He get up and hopped over to Charlie. "He's not under the sofa..."
"Oh no! What if we never find him?! What if he's gone forever?! This is awful, horrendous, terrible... we only had him for a year!" Charlie exclaimed, making the little weiner dog jump back in shock.
"Relax ole pal, he is bound to show up somewhere! He should gather a search party or something" Itchy offered. Charlie didn't listen.
"What if Carface has him?! Oh no Itch! We better gather a search party or something!" Charlie said. Itchy sighed. He knew Charlie didn't listen, it was getting his hopes up ifn he thought he would. Before he had time to think Charlie grabbed his wrist and pulled him off. The reached the flea bite in no time. He saw Bess and Gerta trying to reassure Sasha, and Bess and Itchy's little twin pups crouching beside thier mother. When they saw thier father they ran over to greet him. Charlie walked over to Sasha.
"Hey Sasha, it'll all be ok!" he said. But what he didn't notice was a flash of ginger go out the door. This was Ginger, part of the junk dog gang, also famously known as Scott's girlfriend.
"How do you know?! He could be dead by now!" Sasha wept.
"Naw, coz then Fetch and Retreiver would've told us! Calm down Sasha, we'll find him!" Charlie said. He noticed Carface enter around now.
"YOU! What have you done with Zaka?!" Sasha yelled, getting up and racing over to attack the pit bull.
"I didn't do anything with your pup!" Carface snarled. "Why would I want him anyway?!"
"Because he's my son maybe!" Charlie snapped. "And you followed Belladonna's orders!"
"Oh yea, Belladonna said something meeting your pup! In some alleyway, and then that guy Scott came and-" Carface started. He was instantly inturrpted by Sasha's loud gasp.
"No! Not Scott! Face it Charlie, Zaka's dead!" Sasha wept. "No one knows where his new hideout is!"
"We'll find it!" Bess said. "Me and Itchy and Gerta will help!"
"Speak for yourself missy!" Gerta snapped. Everyone gave Gerta a glare. "Oh fine, I'll help!" she said. "But what about the café?"
"Good point... what about it?" Itchy asked.
"Put someone else on guard! We need all the help we can get!" Charlie said, putting a comforting arm around his wife, Sasha. Sasha only gave a slight nod.
"Yes, please Gerta!" Sasha pleaded. Gerta sighed, but someone else on the shift and tagged along.
"Thats all" Carface scoffed.
"No... your coming!" Charlie snarled.
"WHAT?! No way! You gonna make me?!" Carface demanded.
"Yes!" Charlie said.
"Forget him Charlie... lets go" Sasha said, pulling him away. Charlie kept his glare on Carface until they were out the door.
"Where do we go?" Bess asked.
"You, Gerta and Itchy and your pups go that way and search. If you need help, send out for us, yea?" Charlie said. Bess nodded and lead the five off. Charlie and Sasha searched around downtown. In a darkalley near-by, Jack (The siberan huskey of the pack) was watching them. He bolted up his head and snarled. Mitch (the second hand black and white collie) was beside him, and they both ran away as fast as they could to tell thier leader.
UPDATE! PART THREE!
Chapter five: Jack explains to Scott
Scott was lying next to Ginger (The ginger mutt) and the scruffy setter, Britany, lay next to nobody. Fetch and Retriver and Zaka were playing together. Zaka noticed the little female puppy on her own.
"Hey, whats her name?" Zaka asked Fetch, who was playing tug-of-war with his twin, using a shoelace.
"Oh her? Thats Aly" Fetch said, only to lose to Retriver, as he pulled at the lace and pulled Fetch over.
"Ha! I win!" Retriver said. Fetch snarled and the twins starting put thier skills against each other. In the meantime, Zaka trotted over to Aly, who was digging into a dustbin.
"You look lonely" he said.
"Me? Of course I am. Ginger won't give time for me. She's all about Scott. As for the twins..." Aly looked over at Fetch, who was chasing his own tail, around and around. "Well, I'm not thier type."
"I know them two from when I frist set foot here!" Zaka said.
"Really now?" Aly said, with no interest what-so-ever. Zaka was about to open his mouth and say something until Jack and Mitch ran in.
"Boss! A big hunky juicy piece of news!" Jack said, skidding into Ginger. Ginger yelped and tumbled off with the huskey. Jack got off her. "Hey, thanks Ginger! That was nice of you to give me something to land on!"
"You weren't SUPPOSED to land on me!" Ginger snarled. Jack scrambled off towards Scott.
"What is it, you idiot?!" Scott snarled.
"Charlie has lost his son!" Jack said. "And he's on the move!"
Scott grinned. "Excellent! Now's time to show that rotten flea bag, whos the king of the streets!"
"Heh heh, YEA!" Mitch said, bouncing around Scott. Scott aimed carefully, and slapped Mitch around the back of his head. Mitch looked dizzy for moment before falling to the ground.
Ginger saw Sasha out of her spy hole. "Should I get the girl?!"
"Yes. Bring her down frist!" Scott said sneakily. Before anyone could know what they were on about, Ginger was racing down the alleyway. Sasha screamed and tried to run for it, but Ginger had a firm hold on her side.
"What did I do?!" Sasha said.
"You were walking past." Ginger smirked down. Soon, she was knocked off her feet by Charlie, and Chrlie was knocked off his feet by Scott.
"Scott!" Charlie growled.
The Easter holidays were drawing up, as was Zaka's frist brithday. (Or seventh brithday in dog years) Sasha went shopping for her young pup, or garbage hunting more like. Charlie had to hold Zaka back from sneaking off.

"But I have nowhere to go!" Zaka said. "I-" He was swept off the ground, as Scott took firm hold of him in his jaws and carried him off.
