Keith began to trot backwards defensively, yet Naomi began to snarl as she stood her ground. "Easy, Nao", warned Keith.
"And dude?", he said to Dante, "No, we weren't spying on you. We just happened to come across you guys and heard your predicament. And obviously, no, we did NOT get this... Soapy... into the fix she's in. Look. My girlfriend... she perceives things. Call it a talent of hers. She managed to realize something was wrong, and we just happened to overhear what was going on. Trust me, you might need all the help you can get. But I warn you... DON'T try to take us on because you're paranoid. It's not a good idea..."

"Guys, watch out you're gonna get trampled by me!" A larador collided into Keith and toppled over Keith's head and fell on his back. Dale looked up and Keith, his eyes wide with wonder. "Whoa-ho, apparently not" Dale said, looking stunned. "You must be very strong!" He got up and shook off his fur, his new tags jingling away against the leather of his collar and against each other. He hadn't told the others yet he had been adopted by a boy called Marco, who turned out to have alot in commen with Dale (No, not in dog form) because they both loved the same band, the same style (punk/rocker) and the same kind of colour (red). Dale liked living with Marco and his family but didn't tell nither Britany, Soapy, Don or Dante. "I heard... no, I mean I saw... no, I mean... RAH!" Dale shook his head in fustration, making the tags jingle again. "Look, I know Soapy's in the pound and I wanna help bust her up!" Dale bounced from side to side. "Mission impossible!" Dale said, bouncing about. "Dun... dun dun dun DUUUUN! Dun... dun... dun... DUUUUUN!" Dale rolled about on his back once before hopping onto all fours and pouncing about and rearing up over Britany, teasingly. He snuck up behing Don and gave a loud bark from behind him before jumping over the tall collies back but losing balance on the landing and landing on his back. "Okay... no more jumps for me..." Dale muttered, getting up. "So... so, so, so, SOOOO! Where do we start, guys? Do we... do we LEAP into action on the first sign? Tear apart all the guards, LIMB FROM LIMB until the remaining ones BEG for mercy? Or... or, or, or... do we SNEAK in and THEN tear them limb from limb?" Dale asked, gettign over-excited about the whole thing. "Whoa, I've never been on a missin before, this is gonna be great!"

Britney snarled at Dante and stopped in her tracks, feeling extreme hate about this snooty doberman. If she was only strong enough... maybe... just maybe, she could show Dante who's boss. Maybe she could get Don on her side...? "Alright, do you WANT to be RIPPED apart?!" Britney barked loudly. "Coz I can show you-!" "Wait... we're being followed..." Don said, perking his ears up and turning. He saw the two dogs making their way towards him and he raised one eyebrow, as if not amused but not surprised. "Well, what have we got here?" Don asked. He watched Dante make his moves carefully. "Oh calm down, mate, they don't look like much danger to me!" Don said, rolling his eyes. "Excuse our rude... partner. He truly has no manners" Britney said, stepping one of her dainty paws forward. "Let them help, Dante." "Yea, they can get caught and put in the slammer as a distraction" Don said, smirking. "Where they can rot in a cellar all their lives!" Britney rolled her eyes. "Oh-ho, so you think it's a bad idea to take you on?" Don asked, raising one eyebrow. "You're looking at the toughest guy on the street AND the champion of the National Dog fights before T.J took me in!" Don also lowered himself onto the ground, with a snarl. "So, if you got brains, you'd know that it's a WORSE idea to take ME on!" Britney only rolled her eyes and looked up into the morning sky. She thought, long and hard. About her past life. *********************************** John lay in front of her, grinning, wagging his tail against the dusty ground, sending dust flying upwards while Billie sat next to him, looking down on the excited scruffy mix breed with a glare through his brilliant green eyes. Britney looked back at John, just a big a grin as his plastered against her face. Taylor and Sophie giggled about something near a dumpster while Joey and Dray tore apart a chicken. It was true that Britney had more friends who are boys than girls. Any any of her girlfriends were tomboys (or tom girls or... whatever they were called). "So, what we doing today, huh, huh?" John asked. Billie rolled his green eyes and fell onto his side. "Sleep" he snapped, in his thick American accent, which rolled across the grounds of the alleyway. "You kept me up all night with your extremely long and extremely boring story." "It wasn't boring!" John retorted. "I found it interesting!" "Coz you were flippin' telling bloody thing" Billie hissed. Suddenly, a Spanish accent rolled across the ground. "Hola, amigos!" Alex flounced in, his scruffy, orangery ginger fur gleaming. John grinned up at him but this scene melted away and suddenly, everything went upside down... all wrong... The attack. Two large doberman dogs stalked towards Britney, ready to attack. John pounced in front of her, snarling, lowering himself towards the ground. "Run, Britney, run!" John yelled. "GO, NOW!" "But... but..." "NOW!" So, Britney ran. She ran and ran and ran and turned to see John yelp and be tossed against the ground, only to left as a blood stained mess. "JOHN NO!" Britney screamed.************************************* Britney shook this thought out of her head when her eyes began to water. "Brits? You OK?" She looked behind her to see to see Don look at her. "I... I... yes" Britney lied. "I'm fine..." Don looked puzzled. "Well, I was SAYING... do you think it'll be good to let these guys help us?" "I don't care" Britney snapped. "Let's get a move on, people, they can follow if they want to join us!" Britney stormed off in the direction they were meant to be heading. Her muscles rippled from underneath her fur as she moved her legs in a skillful trot. She looked back at Dale and jerked her head forwards, signaling him to come a walk beside her. She needed to talk to him. The guilt of John dying for her was just too much. (OOC- Sorry for the flashback! Reading Soapy's made me want to make one myself Even though Soapy's wasn't a "flashback" but... aw well.)

Stacey, a stray mutt that also got rounded up by the dog pound, looked over at Soapy, who seemed startled and her surroundings. Stacey watched Soapy for a moment. Then, she chirrupped in. "No, you're not dead but this is just as worse as hell" Stacey said. Her cage was just in front of Soapy's and she gave the newcomer a warm smile. "But it means good things if you get tooken in, yenno." Stacey peered around the pound herself, seeing the miserable faces of the dogs. "It's horrible though, isn't it? Cold... dark... scary... luckily, if you have good mates here, you learn to live with the suffering... sorry, I'm not making you feel any better, am I? Please excuse me. I'm Stacey. Amy and B.J are asleep in the corner there." Stacey poked one paw out of the cage. "Hey you got tags!" she said, pointing at them. "That means you could be traced back to your house and delivered home if they still want you! There you go, kid! You don't look like you could stick up to the suffering of the pound anyway." (OOC- Sorry if I wasn't supposed to give Soapy comfort in the pound But at least I didn't save her

Diana, who had been wandering around for a while, humming to herself, was oblivious to the fact what was going on. She seated herself comfy on the other side of the street were Dante, Don, Britney and two other dogs were, but not actually noticing him. Diana was usually alone. She liked her own company but she felt alone alot. Her tail thumped the ground tentatively. She peered up into the sky, smiling, despite her loneliness. It was only when she looked at the Earth again, she noticed Britney, Dante and Don. She tilted her head slightly in confusion. She wasn't sure any of them would remember her because Diana had been traveling alot. She got up and walked over. "Excuse me, but is something wrong?" she asked, innocently.

As soon as Don finished speaking, he would suddenly feel as though two strong hands were forcing him to the ground. All the while, Naomi continued to stare at the dogs, her sights now resting particularly on Don. Keith could not help but notice that something was wrong with Brittany though, and would have asked if she was okay had she not said she was fine.
Ending her focus on Don, Naomi sighed and turned her red baseball cap's brim forward instead of backwards. "So... we'll need a plan if anything else", said Keith. As he spoke, he could not help but notice Diana approach.

Don's sharp hazel bore into Britney. She wasn't okay at all. Definitely not. How could she be, she never acted like this before very much. Britney turned around and snarled so loudly, it rolled across the sidewalk. "Are you COMING?!" she snapped, (almost a shout but not quite there). She jumped when she saw Diana. She did regonise her but didn't make a fuss. Infact, she looked at her rather like she was bored of seeing her. She gave a sharp glare at Keith when he inturrpted her thoughts. "We don't need no stinkin' plans, just guts and a whole lot of craftiness so MOVE YOU BACKSIDES and let's get towards this pound before I make you all come!" she said, in almost a yell, visions of what she saw from the attack night still ringing in her ears. Another flashback came before her eyes. ************************************ "Tell us another story, mummy!" Britney said, nudging her mother as Dale snoozed silently, curled up next to his mother's soft pelt. "The one about what happens to dogs when they go away!" "Very well" Her mother said, smiling at her young daughter. "Well, when dogs decide they are tired of Earth" (She had censored death nicely) "They go to a wonderful place called Heaven." "What happens in Heaven?" Britney asked, despite knowing the answer. "Well" her mother continued. "They can fly you know. And they have all the food and luxery they could ask for. Just remember somethign Britney." "Yes, I have really good memory." "Just remember that all dogs go to Heaven." ****************************************** Snapping into reality, Britney realised that John wasn't the only beloved one who left her at a young age. Her mother left her when she was barely three weeks old. She shook her head to clear her clattered mind. "Well?!" she snapped, feelign eyes bore into her conscious. "LETS GET A MOVE ON!"
