OOC: Okay this is the thread that I started following up on what I said in "Crazy Cousin". BIC: Sasha had just stepped into the casino and, staring at the drunks surrounding her, began to become a little unsure of her plan. "I've got to go through with it," she thought determined to end the fighting between Charlie and Carface. "I wonder where Carface is," she said to herself.

Jay walked into the Casino and spoted Sasha. "Hey there, suprised to see you in here. Whats up?" he said walking up to her.

~~Kila sits idly at a corner table for two, actually waiting to run into Killer. She double takes when Sasha walks through the casino doors, wondering what in the world has come over her. Her curiosity getting the better of her, she approaches the Irish setter.~~
"Well, what in the world has brought Miss Perfect Pedigree through the double doors to such a mongrel-infested nightclub? Are you here to insult everyone else's lineage as well?"
~~Her sarcasm rings clear as she looks coldly at Sasha, remembering well the sting of her words the last time they met.~~

"Hi Jay," Sasha says smiling at Jay. Then when Kila makes that remark Sasha lowers her head. "I deserved that, Kila I'm sorry about what I said. I'm trying to fix things," she says hanging her head in shame. "Look I am going to try and end the fighting between Charlie and Carface. You see Charlie's cousin Angus has just come into town. Angus mentioned putting Killer in a garbage can and rolling him off into a pond. I kinda blew up on Charlie and his cousin for threating Killer. So I really don't think I'm welcome around Barkins anymore. I thought I would come here and attempt to talk to Carface about all of this mess," she explains. "I'm tired of fighting everyone. I can't fight for Charlie anymore," Sasha says daring to look up at Kila. "I intend on taking the first step in ending all of this mess."

Killer swings the doors open and enters, obviously more than a bit ruffled as he is bristling and muttering incoherently under his breath--no doubt inwardly bad-mouthing Charlie. He stops in mid-mutter and staggers a bit as he catches sight of first Kila, then Sasha...talking to each other? Fearing the worst he slinks over to come up between the two females.
"Okay, what's goin' on here?" he asks, jumping to conclusions a bit as he hears Kila's comment, thinking they might be arguing, but he catches what Sasha says to Kila and softens considerably, "Wow...that took guts, Sasha."
He smiles sincerely at her, then sits down, listening to her voice her thoughts and glancing at Kila warily, wondering what her response will be.
"Well, I hafta say I'll back your efforts," he replies upon hearing what she plans to do, "In spite of all the stuff I've said, I'm no more into this rivalry than you are. Neither is Hedge. I'm sure she'll agree with you too. Trouble is, I think you'll have a more difficult time convincing Carface. Basically, you're dealin' with two pig-headed, stubborn individuals bent on getting revenge. Carface and Charlie have more in common with each other than they think, if you ask me. So...how d'you plan to go through with this?"

Sasha smiles at Killer, glad to see someone on her side. "Thanks Killer. Looks like all of us have a lot more in common than we thought." Sasha's eyes brighten up as she gets an idea. "You know Killer I think you just might have something there. What if we get them to realize just how much they do have in common. Maybe if we, you'll have to excuse the expression, 'play our cards right' this just may work. Tell me Killer as long as you've known Carface, have he and Charlie ever been friends?"

Killer looks thoughtful, as though digging in the back of his mind to uproot his earliest memories of his boss. There is silence for a few moments before he answers.
"Oh, sure," he confirms, "They were best pals years ago. They ran this casino together as a joint operation, then...I dunno what happened. I guess greed got the better of Carface and he wanted to get Charlie outta the picture, so the gang and I set Charlie up for a one way trip to the slammer, but...he came back, so the boss decided to rub him out. Don't ask me how Charlie managed to come back after we pulled that number."

Jay kinda stayed back and watched. Then he finally spoke up, "Whatever you need, Ill help you out Sash." He looked over at Kila. "Im not sure we have met before. Im Jay." he said extending a paw. Then looking at Killer, "Killer... whats up?" he said trying not to leave him out.

~~Kila's expression remains stern and solid a few moments before she too softens and smiles accepting Sasha's apology on the spot.~~
"Thanks, Sasha. All is forgiven."
~~She gently reaches out and gives the Irish setter a hug, but it's a quick one. She still is afraid of getting close to anyone for fear of losing them in the future.~~
"Hello, Jay. Pleased to meet you. I'm Kila."
~~She smiles and shakes the other dog's paw, then glances back toward Sasha.~~
"I really have no idea why those two are at each other, but I must admit that Charlie lacks respect for others. What he said to me that day really hurt...that's why I blew up at him that day."
~~She shakes her head, trying to forget that memory and focus on the matter at paw.~~
"So what exactly do you plan to do, Sasha?"

Killer grins as Sasha and Kila make amends, then turns to Jay with a light wag of his docked tail.
"Hi Jay," he replies good-naturedly, "Nothin' much right now. The only thing I know that still up is my hackles...thanks to Charlie."
He rolls his eyes and growls as Kila admits that Charlie had hurt her with his words, starting to forget the plan as his anger at the German shepherd surfaces again.

Sasha hugs Kila back and she smiles. "That's probably the first time I have felt at ease with anyone in quite a while. You know maybe Charlie and Carface need the same thing," Sasha said thinking for a moment. "All Charlie has is his sister, Angus and..." she pauses for a moment as a little bit of guilt remerges. "Up until a few minutes ago, me. Are you all sure you want to get into this? It's all risky and we'll probably be outcasts from this whole town before it's overwith," Sasha says uncertainly. "Of course compared the messes I've been dragged into, this is definatly a step up," she says with a slight hint of a laugh. "Maybe we can rekindle the friendship between Charlie and Carface. And Jay your help would be very useful, we're gonna need all of the help we can get." Sasha puts her paw out as sort of a three muskettiers thing and she says smiling, "For everyone's sanity, and for sheer pity over those two, let's end all of this mess."

"You do relise the odds on those 2 actually getting along right?" SunFlash walked into the casino "If it's meant to be, it's meant to be. I don't mean to be a pessimist(sp?), but it will take a miracle to get those 2 back together"

Killer is apprehensive about the whole idea, but he more or less keeps his doubts to himself. He can see no way of reuniting Carface and Charlie as friends--especially with himself in the picture. He knows Charlie has a direct hatred for him specifically, regardless of Carface. He just doesn't know the reason for it.
"Heaven might as well rain down a hurricane of miracles in this issue," he mutters to himself, then speaks to the others, "I'm in, but I know I'm gonna regret it. I'll be kickin' myself for ignoring the gut feeling when this is over. That is, if I'm still alive to kick myself when this is over."
