The artwork for the first one is awesome! Anne Marie looks a bit off though.
Second one..Charlie looks retarted.
Definitely buying this, I already have the DVDs, but who cares. First official ADGTH artwork since the series DVD's. Must buy to support. <3

Coming to Blu-ray = good, but the cover art is horrible for BOTH as far as I see.
The first one is the lesser of two evils, but I have an issue with the style and bright, soft feeling it has. COMPLETELY makes light of the dark nature of the movie, which would give it a more innocent appearance and attracting an audience that is NOT ready for it. We're talking about a movie that was panned by critics in the day as being BAD for kids due to the drinking, smoking, death, and of course the infamous "Hell scene". The original box art was guilty of that too, but it didn't cross the line as much. The style is fine (anatomy is a little off, especially for Itchy and King Gator. Why King Gator is there, I guess I will never know) and it wouldn't bother me as much if this style was used towards a DIFFERENT movie. NIMH had the same problem with it's DVD/Blu-ray release.
ADGTH2 is horrible mostly for anatomy (and on both covers, you notice that Charlie's cheek spots are missing. Tut tut!). Itchy looks weird (long neck, very skinny appearance), Carface is passable, but Charlie...OH MY! The lower picture gives him a duck-bill and the top one has...I'm not even going to comment on that. It's worse than his original plush.
I have a PS3 (which plays Blu-ray), but my TVs aren't HD so it wouldn't look much better than DVDs (only Blu-rays I have are for the Fantasia 1940/2000 pack, which also came with DVDs). I already have all of the ADGTH movies on DVD and as much as I want to support the series, the covers aren't making me to buckle down to get it. The only thing that would redeem it for me is if they had some good, relevent special features (particularly for the development, though I doubt that since I doubt there is anything left) perhaps with wide-screen options and without those tacky kiddie games. Oh, an improvement on the ADGTH menu would be very nice too.

I like the cover art. Very....modern.

Too modern in my opinion, but then I'm a purist. I fully intend to analyze and critique both covers as soon as I get more time. As for buying the films, I'd like to, but I won't. I don't have anything that plays Blu-Ray nor to I have a high-def TV (mine has an actual glass screen. Ya don't see too many of them around anymore. ) so buying the discs would be a complete waste of time for me. Now, if they'd released them on DVD with supplemental features on the other hand, that'd be a different story.

The characters aren't that accurate looking, but otherwise, I love the cover art. The changes in the character's appearances isn't anything worse than the ones that changed over the course of the saga. I just hope they have special features. David looks great though.

I actually detest the new looks for the Blue Ray version. I wish they had the original looks instead.
I have not seen a single commercial for the movies yet, but I will check out You Tube to see if they are there. With out TV commercials for the movies, nobody will buy them.
Also, MGM should have released the last season of ADGTH the series instead. It would make more money since nobody has it yet though the entire series is on You Tube and Hulu.
