OOC~ Oooo my titles are always impressive aren't they? Now let's see if I can still do this after all this time. I'm thinking something more based in the first movie's world by the way. BIC~ Shana grumbled a little as she dabbed her paw into the sand out of the shade again. "Yeowch!" The pink whippet cried out, as she could not get used to burning her paw on the hot sand all day. Somehow she managed to find safe haven and imprisonment under a dock earlier this morning . "What better place to enjoy the warmth of the sun than at the beeeach", she said to herself mockingly. She tossed her blue cloak to the side and lied on the cool shaded sand. "Well, the best I could hope for now is a good picture of the sun reflecting off the water as it's setting . . . . later today . . . much later", she sighed and traced some patterns and things that popped into her mind. A few moments later she snapped back to reality and saw she had drawn out a church and a graveyard on the side. Shana took a swipe at it and sighed longingly at half erased scene. Her thoughts wandered to the beach surrounding her, and the people or canines frolicking around. . . . "On their feet so used to walking on hot sand," she said to herself, grudgingly even.

The german shepherd wasn’t a huge fan of the sun; normally, she did her exploring and scavenging at night, when the humans slept. Under normal circumstances, the wagon windows would be covered, the vardo would be dark, and she’d be passed out in the corner. Something brought her out today. Be it hopes of being reunited with her brother or some other impossible feat. She had wandered down to the docks; humans didn’t gather there often, so it was safe. Besides that, the area had a variety of interesting smells. She sniffed and pawed at the wooden dock, then glanced up, her big bat ears standing upward. She wandered downward to the beach area, pawing down through the hot sand without a single flinch, her nose working at the sand, in search of anything that wasn’t human. She glanced up finally, when she reached the very end of the line, looking back in under one of the docks, and tilting her head.
“Well, if it isn’t the strange collie, it’s the strange whippet... and vice versa...” Looking quite serious, she slipped closer, quirking a brow.
“You haven’t much fur for protection... aren’t you worried about overheating?”
(ooc - forgive me, I just woke up randomly, it's nearly 3 am... I'm not alive o.O )

Harli strolled along the beach completely unaware of her surroundings. City life didn't suit her well, her fur was covered in engine oil from a recent escapade. She stumbled along, her thick fur making her pant, with several pizza crusts in her mouth. The Australian Cattle dog casually glanced over at the other two dogs on the beach, and in doing so, stepped in a bucket some kid had left behind. Harli bit down on the handle to pull it off, only to recoil and yelp in disgust when she discovered it was covered in jelly.

Shana could feel herself grow hot as she saw who was padding over to her. "A-Ashley?", she whispered in either shock or trying to reassure herself she wasn't seeing a mirage on the heated sands. She took a few cautious steps forward, almost forgetting about unshaded area. "I-It's actually quite cool under here", she stuttered. Shana had such an incredible urge to dash over to Ashley, but she knew she wouldn't get far before the sands would kick in and make a fool of her. It was probably the only thing hiding her excitement. She sat there under the docks and waited as calmly as she could for her to come.

She quirks a brow at the mysterious whippet, plopping down on her haunches, oblivious to the sting of the hot sand. "Well, I honestly wasn't expecting to see you ou-" Her words are cut short, as she hears the distinct yelp of the other dog. Her big 'ol ears prick up as she stares, half bemused at the poor dog's misfortune. "Well, that certainly didn't look pleasant... I suppose one of us should direct our attention to the one who could possibly be hurt?" She grins slyly, bowing her head and gesturing with a paw for Shana to go first, out into the burning sand. "After you, m'dear."

The calm ocean breeze, and the constant pounding of the waves was something so calming to Hanz. He had never really spent much time near it, but the few times he had he noticed that it had a very calming affect on him. That rythmic surf seemed to sooth, so after a stressful week of...instances... he decided that he needed to relax. It was not very often that he was able to go listen to the ocean. "Ahhh...finally....such a calming sound" He said as he walked onto the warm sandy beach. " Few times have I been able to partake in its sweet sweet melody" He quickly sprinted over the warm sand and jumped into the water and paddled in the water for a small while, letting the salty, cool water was him. After a nice quick swim, he wandered off slowly listening to the surf toward the docks, where the number of people dwindled. "Great...looks like there are some others down there." He lowered his head and looked as the water would wash over his paws before receding back from whence it had come. He was shaken out of his daze by the yelp of another dog "What? Who is making that noise?"

"Oh, gross." Harli mumbled. She placed her left paw on the rim of the bucket and attempted to extract her right paw from the jelly/sand bucket trap.

OOC~ Hopefully I still got it IC~ A familiar dog strolled down the shore, staring down at the sandy ground as the ocean water rolled from the sea and toward his sand-filled paws. He looked across towards the water, watching the clouds roll by, blocking the sun every two or three clouds. He then heard commotion up ahead the shore.
Snapping out of his little trance, he picked up his pace and saw some familiar dogs up ahead. With a big grin on his face and tag slowly wagging. He sooned recognized them and he walked closer towards them.

Ann looked from side to side. "Alright, so I got this great idea, you run up ahead of me, your running will displace the hot sand, and then won't burn my paws. Sound good Ash?"

Ashley wags her tail.
"Well, good enough for me."
Ashley tears off running, the opposite direction of the poor dog who got a bit of jelly on her paw, which was strange, being as Ashley intended on checking to make sure the dog was right. However, the plan seemed to change very quickly, and soon, the german shepherd was out of anyone's sight.

OOC: Message boards are being so fussy for this computer. I can barely get on anything. I can get on my laptop, but teh laptop's internet is lapoop.
BIC:
"Oi, Ann, where are you off to?" SunFlash said as she sat on a pertruding rock from the sand. She was recently resting and didn't notice the shepherd run through her field of view. Her black back found little relief in the sun, therefore the logic of being in the shade.

OOC; Thought I might try to RP once again. BICShadow was lost as usual, and Star was right beside him. They both had stumbled onto the beach somehow, and the sand was quite hot. Star found out just how hot it was. Yow! Star yelped as he recoiled with suprise at the temperature of the sand. Its a lot hotter than snow isn't it? Shadow remarked. Yeah. It's like putting your paws on an oven! Star answered. Suddenly, Shadow heard multiple yelps up the beach, and sped up to investigate. Star quickly followed. Shadow thought he recognized one or more of them. Hey! It's AJ! Shadow said. How's it going, AJ?Who are your friends? Asked Star. OOC; And it seems like I have managed to ruin yet another RP..... I should probably just leave now.
