Does anybody else here collect animation cels or animation art? I've got a small collection. I doubt I'll ever become a hard core collector, but I love the pieces I have!! From All Dogs go to Heaven - My first cel I acquired about a year ago. Bust shot of charlie during you can't keep a good dog down. Thus far, my favorite... Flo and Charlie with one of the pups. XD I've also got one of Charlie and the devil dog when he descends into hell in his dreams. I'm sure I'll expand my collection of All Dogs cels as the years go by. My next I hope will be one with Charlie and the whippet, but I wouldn't object to another one with Charlie and flo! As far as other Don Bluth cels go, I have a few from Rock-a-Doodle, two production cels and a publicity cel of Edmond and Chantie I only have a few Disney pieces, and no cels to my name, as they are unbelievably expensive. : ( I've got a large model sheet of Desoto the dobe from Oliver and Co, and two clean-up production drawings from the Lion King 1/2. One of Uncle Max and one of Shenzi the hyena. sooo...anybody else collect animation art, or have pieces to share?

Soapy, these actually are the real thing.. I didn't do these, the pieces I've posted here are actual art from the movie that I've purchased! XD Sorry for the confusion, friend!

Oh okay! Lol! Sorry. Still awesome though! How did you buy them? Just order them online or something? And it's okay. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

How did you buy them? Just order them online or something? Ebay's always a good place to look. If you're really lucky and know somebody who actually worked on the film, cels are a little easier to obtain. Disney cels are, indeed, expensive. A distant relative of mine ( very distant, mind you. I think she might've been related through marriage or something.) had a bunch of cels from some of Walt Disney's earlier shorts and films that she got from when she was a housekeeper for either him or his brother Roy. She put all of her kids through college by selling the cels to collectors in the 70s and 80s. Sadly, cel collecting's a little to expensive for my budget. Maybe once I'm a bestselling author (I can dream can't I?) that'll change. For now, I'll just envy my California cousins. The closest thing I have is an old animation book written by Preston Blair, a Disney animator who worked on Pinocchio, Bambi, and Fantasia before moving on to MGM. It's probably not worth anything, but I treasure it anyway. Amature or not, Ashely, your collection is amazing! Just thought I'd throw that in along with my wistful rant.

Ah ok. And funny. I wanna be an author too! Fiction of course. *grins*
So you ever talk to them Harli? Maybe they have some left over?
