Name: Richard Reiben
Rank: Captain
Breed: German Shepherd
Age: 3 years old (22 in human years)
Voice actor: Edward Burns
Looks: Brown/black fur with brown eyes, and strong muscular build. Has dog tags dangling around his neck. Got a scar on his left cheek from being hit by a stray bullet from an AK-47 at close range plus scars on his chest, back, belly, and legs from grenade, mortar, and IED fragments.
Likes: Eating ribs, steak, and chicken. Training and living on his own.
Dislikes: Posers, jacka**es, animals that pick on and hurt other for no reason.
Personality: Reiben is most like a typical average day dog. Having served in the Marines, he is very tough and doesn't like to be judged or bossed around. When it comes to fighting, he fights hard and nevers gives up. When it comes to friends, he will stick up for them no matter what. He has a tendency to scowl like a gunnery seargant when someone tries to pick a fight with him. Besides his toughness and durability, he has an extremely romantic side and knows how to charm a beautiful girl but he will treat her with a gentlemenlike attitude.
His favorite song: Black Sabbath from the movie Iron Man 2
Background history: Reiben and his siblings were born to 2 German Shepherds on a military base in 2007. His father (Colonel Jake Reiben) served in the Marines at a base called Camp Pendelton and his mother (April Reese) was a former show dog. The two met at a town one night and fell in love. Months later, April gave birth to 6 puppies and named them Richard, Jack, Zack, Jennifer, Chloe, and Wendy. Two weeks later, Colonel Reiben deployed with his unit to Iraq and then a week later, he was killed by an IED while riding with a platoon in a truck convoy. Saddened by the loss, April had no choice but to give away the pups. Richard was taken in by a recruiting officer and his siblings were adopted by families of service members. He never saw his mom, brothers, and sisters after that. Eager to join and serve in the Corps, Richard started training at the age of 6 months. The platoon seargants were impressed by his skills in attacking and sniffing down the enemy and they put him near the highest ranks. By the time he was over a year old, Richard graduated with the rank of Captain. Months later, he was deployed on his 1st combat tour with his company. For months, Richard helped find IEDS, enemy combatants, and weapon supplies. As the months passed by, Richard earned many service awards including the Purple Heart, Silver Star. Marine Corps Good Conduct Award, Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal, Navy & Marine Corps Presidential Unit Citation, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and eventually the Medal of Honor. Then tragically, close to the age of 3, Reiben's unit was ambushed in a city. After a couple of hours of closer quarter fighting, he was seriously injured by a RPG. Shrapnel went deep into his chest and was taken to a hospital where he spents weeks recovering. Reiben and only a couple of soldiers survived the ambushed. His unit's high command decided that it was time to let him go. When Reiben's company was sent back home, the Corp discharged him. Angered, Richard walked out of the base and started to live on his own.
