During the time (probably several hours) between when Charlie gave his life for Anne Marie and the final good bye scene in her bed room, where was Charlie? Was he just like a ghost or something? Was he like unconscious, or was he in "The Other Place?" And why was the Hell Hound so generous to let Charlie say good bye? ;D

I believe he was unconscious but having an OBE (out of body experience)
Never really thought of it like that. Maybe he was a ghost. Hmmm......

And why was the Hell Hound so generous to let Charlie say good bye? ;D well i think he had time, e.g; when the sky went red the devil thing said "Charlie" in a whisper voice so i guess he was waiting for him to go to hell.

You know, that's a really good question. Perhaps he was in limbo or something. Not technically alive, but not exactly dead either. Ugh. I sense a paradox.

Perhaps he did arrive in (and you know what, I don't consider it vulgar) Hell, but got a "last request" of sorts, and wished to say his last good-bye to Anne Marie.
Though, it'd be a better comparison to the phone call you get when you're jailed. Hence, the devil's impatience.

If the Hell Hound was a true demon, he was probably sickened being around someone as good as Anne Marie or mad he couldn't have taken Itchy and her as well.
