So, yes. I'm back for the time being once more. To try and liven things up here, I wished to start up an RP.
The main theme of this one in particular sort of revolves around one of my characters; I don't mean to make her the center of the whole thing, but bear with me. In this RP, my one character, the psychic Husky-wolfdog known as Naomi, tries to uncover her past, which had been erased. Unfortunately for her, perhaps learning of her past might not be such a good idea after all...
For those who are unaware of what I mean, feel free to check out Naomi's profile over at the Rexx Files board.
Before I begin, I'd like at least two others to join in. Once at least those two join, I'll begin the tale.

Of course I'm in, KT ^^
Think I'll use Eddie for this: He's seen demons before, plus, I've barely used him at all (granted, neither have I used Forester much, but I think she can deal with it X3)

*nods* Sounds good, everyone. Many thanks for you all joining. =) Well, without further ado, let us begin... ------- Music (Yes, I'm integrating themes for the various scenarios again): "Sanctuary", from Fable III; parts of it are based off of "Marcus Memorial" from Fable II.www.youtube.com/watch?v=_A5XpVzGu1c------- It was the first day of December in San Francisco, California. The temperature had dropped immediately after Thanksgiving Day, a slight snowfall having occurred the previous night. Two dogs were walking down the sidewalk: a Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mix, and a Siberian Husky/Wolf mix. Around the German Shepherd mix's neck was a blue collar with a military-style dog tag, given to the dog as a joke but accepted as a gift of friendship nevertheless. The wolf-dog mix had on a red baseball cap turned backwards, and a sky-blue collar with a simple circular dog tag. In the secret world of dogs, these two were the canine duo known as Keith and Naomi. "...I don't know why", said Naomi to Keith, as the two padded back to their home. "...but the snow... it makes me get this nostalgic feeling". Keith did his best to shrug; it was tough to do with being in a quadrupedal stance. "How so? I could have sworn you said you didn't remember your puppyhood" "Well", said the psionic dog, "All I can remember is that I recall something associated with the whiteness of snow". She sighed. She wasn't like this normally. She knew this for a fact. She was normally a more cheerful, happy canine. But today... maybe it was because it was starting to get closer and closer to winter, closer and closer to a time symbolizing death. After all, plants would begin to die for the time being, and many wild animals would slumber through the winter. The days were getting darker, the weather getting arguably more harsh and unforgiving than in other seasons. All she had an uncanny feeling of was that her past involved a great light, evoked by the whiteness of the snow, and a great darkness, evoked by the fact that many associated winter with death. Either way though, these strange nostalgic feelings were to her were just, well, feelings. She, after all, had no memory of her past life. Her oldest memory was now of awakening in an alleyway. This was because of the miracle of the church grim Sarai; the guardian spirit had taken mercy and pity on the wolf-dog because of what had happened prior to the clouding of her memories. Indeed, her memories had involved a great light and a great darkness: respectively, the meeting with an angelic being and the evils of those under the power of the devil. "Naomi?" The canine in question blinked. She had drifted off briefly. "Uh... sorry", she replied, continuing to walk with Keith.

Britney walked with long strides, her thin legs stretching out, her dainty paws crunching over the snow that had managed to lie. Her coat was smoothed back as she had taken good care of it over the winter, ready for the freeze. Her eyes were sharp and quick as she gazed the surroundings suspiciously. Anything can happen at these times of the year. She was quick and proud in her movement, her muscles rippling softly under her fur.
Behind her walked her opposite. Poppy walked quickly with short trotting, her little paws avoiding the cold snow carefully. Her coat was scruffy and messed as it usually was, and it was darker than Britney's coat and it was also thickening for the winter. Her big green globes for eyes were hollow and paranoid, darting here and there nervously, thinking the same thing as her sister, anything could happen. Her movement was a bit clumsy and rushed, as if she was attempting to keep up with Britney.
"So, what do you say we try and get ourselves some decorations this year? Do you think Scott will mind?" Britney asked, mainly to herself because she knew Poppy wasn't going to come up with a helpful answer.
"Perhaps" she answered. "But I still recommend not doing so. Scott mightn't approve and you must get his consent before-" Britney zoned out through Poppy's babbling, as she so often did. when she had realized Poppy had finished, she shook her head.
"As usual, your information was useless and depressing, Poppy" Britney snapped at her sister. Poppy didn't seem to hear her.
"What we should get is crushed purple crystals to sprinkle outside our alleyway" Poppy said. Britney glanced over, giving her sister a strange look.
"Dare I ask why...?"
"The ghosts of Christmas past, present and future! As I have read, according to my book, crush crystals are allegedly said to keep out unwanted spirits! I have a few crystals stored up, as you know. I'm always prepared for the worst. We need a few other things, but I'll get them from Harrison" Poppy explained. Britney looked beyond confused until the name Harrison was mentioned. Then she tutted and rolled her eyes.
"You mean your voodoo friend?" Britney seethed. Poppy nodded.
"She has such interesting things! Crystal balls, you know I always wanted a crystal ball, ordinary charm crystals, charms from prehistoric times, mythical jewelry, rabbits feet, magic collars, mythical cards-!"
"Mythical cards?! Oh please, can't you buy them at any game shop?!" Britney exclaimed loudly and irritatedly. Poppy thought that over before shaking her head.
"They're fake, Britney."
"Well, naw... I'm sure Harrison's will be able to have holographic images for you to enjoy" Britney said, her voice simply dripping with sarcasm. Poppy glared at her older sister.
"Well, if you wish to buy me a present this Christmas, you know where to go" she said. Britney scoffed loudly.
"I'm not going anywhere near that fre-!" In the distance, she noticed Keith and Naomi. She tilted her head, trying to recognize them. "Hey... I think I know them..."

Meanwhile, hiding in a corner of the street where the street cleaners shot out the snow, a small mound of the white fluff stood alone. It was unpredictably large, there was no way for such a small overnight snowfall could make it.
Such was because the mound was not just snow. Underneath a blanket of crystallized water was Eddie, fast asleep. He was to have left the prior night for Cancun for a promo show at a high-class hotel that he certainly would have trashed in a heartbeat. But due to the weather, his private plane faced difficulties (being not fit to work with snow in the turbines) and he was forced to stay another night.
That setback proved terrible for him: After a deal gone bad, he had nowhere to rest. Desperate and in the middle of the darkness as the snow fell, he simply curled up in that spot and didn't bulge since.
Hearing a commotion outside, Eddie slowly regained consciousness. First thing he noticed was the absurd coldness the snow had given the hound. His breed being from the Mediterranean, they had no need to grow a thick winter coat like other dogs (much to his chagrin).
He secondly noticed that he WAS covered head to toe with snow. He shook his snout, brushing the snow off his maw and head, allowing him to at least see the city.
"Ugh," he groaned as he shivered. "The..." he looked down at his paws, or rather, the snow covering where'd they be. He wished to seek better shelter for himself, but was too distracted by the sight of two setters walking down the street.
Hrm? he thought to himself. Who are they? His tail swished slightly at the thought of having someone to have an interesting day with - he knew the locals could have quite interesting adventures.

(OOC-I'm gonna bring in Soapy soon. I thought I'd start off with Medea since I never use her)
A few feet ahead of the dogs a black cat stood at the mouth of an alleyway on top of a dumpster, wrapping her forelegs around herself as a large snow drift fell off of the roof above her and right on top of the cat. "Stupid snow", she spat, shaking the white stuff from her fur. "All cold and wet. What an awful day to be out here. Belladonna doesn't pay me enough for this shi-Oh!" Her ears perked and her amber eyes glowed intensely as she overhead Britney and Poppy talking. She grinned mischievously and leaped down off the dumpster, fixing her large pentagram charmed necklace held on her neck with thin black leather. She landed on the snow below and smiled at the oncoming dogs. "Customers!", she whispered. "Maybe this day isn't so horrible after all." She skidded out of the alley and ran to a nearby cart filled with odds and ends and leaped up on top of a beaded pillow. "Come buy your magic items here!", she said before leaping down to point at everything. "I got magic cards, spell books, crystals, potions, charms, good luck charms, and of course, crystal balls! And many more things in store here! Step right up people and enter my new and improved, voodoo shop on wheels!" She said this a few more times before looking about, watching the two setters ahead. "Like a bug to a zapper", she mumbled, doing her best to put on a fake friendly smile.
(OOC-Bleh short. And sucky. Not used to playing her. Oh yea and the whole 'cart' thing is her shop on wheels. It's basically like a fortune teller cart that they had back in the day and is her transportation to go back and forth between New Orleans and other places. Basically a gypsy cart I guess. Except it's packed with stuff.)

In time, Keith and Naomi would notice a cat dash onto the sidewalk and start shouting something from atop a cart loaded up with all sorts of strange objects. "Huh", said Keith. "That's something you don't see every day. Let's check it out".
Naomi sighed. "Right", she replied. For once, she decided not to mention she was getting another one of her sixth sense's bad feelings.
"Are you gonna be okay?" asked Keith. "You really don't seem yourself today..."
"Eh... I'll be fine", lied the wolf-dog. "Come on, let's check it out, indeed... hey, over there". She pointed a paw toward a pair of Irish Setters up ahead. "Don't we know those two from somewhere?"
Keith thought for a moment. "Huh. Well, who knows from right here? Let's get in closer. Maybe I might remember their voices..." With that, Keith dashed forth, heading toward Britney and Poppy. "Hey there, don't I know you two from somewhere?" As Keith went ahead and did this, Naomi would slowly approach the cat and the cart, her sixth sense's bad vibes getting stronger and stronger.

Poppy stared at the little cat with intense interest, her big green globes simply glowing. Britney seemed to be grimacing on every word the cat said. Poppy's grin grew and grew and she turned her head to Britney. Britney glared back.
"Noooooo way. You can't trust those people" Britney said, skeptically. "Don't you remember Dale and the "evaporating stick"? It never worked."
"Well, Dale is an idiot, there's no such thing as an evaporating stick" Poppy said, quickly. She gave her sister soft, pleading eyes. "Pleeeease? At least can't we go over to look?"
"Please. It's run by a cat, Poppy. Nothing is gonna work" Britney scoffed, loudly so Medea could hear her.
"I like cats" Poppy said, simply, before galloping over.
"PO-" Britney sighed, cutting herself off, shaking her head before slowly following. She kept a firm glare on Medea as she walked forward but she was soon joined by someone. The dog she tried to recognize.
"Who, me?" she asked Keith. "I was thinking the same thing about you... maybe names will ring a bell. I'm Britney. And that, over there is Poppy."
Poppy ran straight up to the cart, her tail flicking enthusiastically. "Excuse me, can you show me what you have?" she asked, in her sickly sweet voice.
*
However, watching from a rooftop, her long tail drooping down and swaying slightly, Arakiti watched on. She watched Medea pull Poppy in, and Britney catch up with Keith. She pulled her lips back into a snarl.
"Medea" she said. "I guess it's true what they say... unfortunately, it is a small world. ARGH!" she yelled all of a sudden. "Now I've got the stupid song in my head..." She jumped up onto her four legs and slowly stalked the perimeter of the roof.
"This plan of mine is taking too long. In order to play Belladonna like a violin, I need back-up... Ruka isn't enough... after all, she's mentally challenged anyway, she couldn't remain sane if she tried." Arakiti shook her head irritatedly. "I'll watch a little longer" she continued, her eyes fixed on the cart. "When I find the right time, I'll strike... hopefully, soon. This snow is making me angry..."
(OOC: I assume that if Arakiti and Medea both worked for Belladonna, their paths might have crossed... and Poppy is usual Poppy there. You could offer her a Weegee board and she's take it [Research it if you're not sure, but I wouldn't recommend ever getting one] Hopefully, this isn't too long.)

Medea felt her claws unsheathe as the one setter told the other not to go near her cart because it was run by a cat but her claws instantly unsheathed like small daggers as the other setter, Poppy, came bounding over. Medea smiled and sat down in front of the cart , curling her long thick black tail around her paws, her chest held high. "Hello there deary", said Medea in her best friendly voice. "Come to do some shopping? It is that time of year you know." When Poppy asked her if she could show her what she had her amber orbs brightened. "But of course love", said Medea. "Follow me". Medea got up from where she was sitting her rump cold, snow sticking to her fur. "Oh", groaned Medea. "I hate this snow!" She shook herself until the snow was off of her and then proceeded to walk towards the small staircase that lead to the door of the cart. That's when she noticed two other dogs talking to the setter. She grinned mischievously but passed it off as a fake smile at Poppy. "Right this way my dear", she purred. "And all of your wildest dreams will come true."
Medea pushed the door open and entered, the entire inside of the cart lit by candles, glowing potions and more. To one wall was a stack of spell books and small decks of tarot cards. On another wall hung pendents in all different shapes, colors, and sizes along with a shelf stacked with potions. Medea made her way to the makeshift front counter, which was just an old wooden table and littered around her were Ouija boards, magic crystals in different shapes, colors, and sizes, more potions, and other odds and ends. She took a seat on top of her beaded pillow and sat down, waiting for Poppy to make a choice. "Have a look around", said Medea. "Take your time and please excuse the mess. I haven't had time to organize everything. Not enough time. But I will get around to it." She gently stroked her pentagram charm and watched Poppy's every move. "If you don't see anything to your liking here we can always go in the back", she said smoothly. "Although it looks better up here than down there. Let me know if you need help."
If one looked at Medea where she sat she almost looked menacing, Her amber eyes and black fur and pentagram charm glowed in the dim light of the candlelight and the shadow behind her stretched on the wall behind her, making her ears look like horns. But her smooth, sickly sweet, almost creepy voice made up for her appearance. Her tail twitched with anticipation as she waited for Poppy to make her selection.
(OOC-I don't like this post so much. Eh, it'll do. I had trouble writing down the inside of the cart as it's pictured much cooler in my head but I guess the way I described it is okay. By the way Wonder, it's spelled Ouija Board.)

(OOC: Ahhh, I knew it had some sort of complicated Japaenese spelling. Thanks, Soapy.)
Poppy followed Medea into the cart, and her eyes widened as a child would whilst walking into a toy store. She grinned and her tail began to flick excitedly. For Poppy, this was paradise. It was the oppisite for Britney, who pretty much hated anything too out of the ordinary, and who refused to go near the cart, but still kept a close eye on it, as though expecting it to grow wings and fly away with Poppy in it.
"If it weren't under the circumstances," Britney growled, "I'd let it take her away."
Poppy, in the meantime, wandered the nick nacks with great interest, her eyes glowing. Whatever Medea was saying, Poppy was hanging on every word. "Oh wow..." she breathed. "You ARE better than Harrison..." She didn't dare touch anything, but one could tell she desperately wanted to touch everything. Heck, anyone could see Poppy wanted everything on offer in the cart.
As she let the objects overwhelm her, a little voice appeared in the back of her head. I say, forget Britney.
"Oh, why hello Ivy!" Poppy said, her sickly sweet voice brightened horribely, talking to absoultly no one.
Get whatever you want. It's not as if Britney and Dale are prepared to splash out for you. Britney will get you something she picked up from the garabge, and Dale... well, you'd be lucky if he shows up.
"That is true" Poppy said softly. She turned to Medea. She had a smile on her face, almost a sick, twisted and crazy smile, with considered to Poppy, was trying to be nice.
"I was just wondering" she asked, "How much do your things cost? I'd really like to get myself something as a gift, considering my brother and sister aren't going to get me anything that fascinates me. Not like your things. Your shop really is fantastic." She tilted her head and her twisted smile grew. "If you don't mind me asking," she continued, "What is your name?"
(OOC: Poppy = Loonitic. 'Nuff said.)

Medea watched as Poppy started speaking to someone who wasn't there. She tilted her head and flicked an ear as she heard her say 'Ivy'. Who's Ivy?, Medea thought. And she brought up another name earlier.....Harrison. As the black cat thought over who these beings might be, her train of thought was broken as she realized that Poppy was now talking to her. Medea shook her head and leaped down off of the table, in front of Poppy.
"Sorry about that", said Medea. "I was lost in thought for a moment. What were you saying?" Medea thought back to what Poppy had said when the canine turned to her. Poppy had asked how much everything was and how her shop was fantastic.
"Oh yes", she said. "How much is everything? Well, you seem like one of those dogs who are really into this stuff. For you Deary, it's all free. I can tell you are very serious about your belief. I don't get that too often. And you think this is fantastic? You should come to my shop in New Orleans. It's much bigger. More stuff too. I'm just here to make some money. Call me a traveling merchant if you will. A downright shame about your brother and sister Deary. Oh well. They just don't take this belief as serious as us".
Medea was about to turn away when Poppy asked another question. Medea's smile grew into a twisted smile as well as she turned back around and looked Poppy right in the eye, her pentagram charm glinting.
"Medea", she replied, her smile growing until she looked like the Cheshire Cat. "My name is Medea, Deary. And you're Poppy correct? I heard you sister say your name outside. She's very untrustworthy of black cats isn't she? Thinks we're all schemers. Well, I assure you, I'm no schemer. Just a cat looking for some money. Is that really so bad? I'm an honest one." Medea stroked her charm then cleared her throat.
"Just one question Deary", said Medea. "Who are those names you mentioned before? You know Ivy and Harrison? I was just wondering." Medea's tail swished and curled on the semi dark floor, looking like a black furry snake that had gotten loose.
As she awaited Poppy's answer, Medea lifted a paw, and started licking it, then brought it over her torn ear a few times then proceeded to wash her face.
(OOC-I think Meddy's taken a liking to Poppy. Don't you guys love the way she talks? You can almost HEAR Helena's voice. Yeah. Too much Sweeney Todd and interviews. I've basically got Helena's lingo down to a T. And sorry KT. This is my last post until Charmyte posts or you post or.....whatever.)

Eddie watched from his snow bunker as a cat appeared from the alleyway, and bringing in one of the setters to a cart of sorts.
Okay, you don't see that everyday... he thought as his tail swished in the snow, shaking it off. He tried to keep his thin brown fur mostly covered, keeping hidden until the time was right.
From further up the road, he saw a husky/wolf and husky/shepherd walk over to the now lone setter, the three seemed familiar with each other, but yet distant at the same time. The Cretan hound made note of his apparent anonymity from the animals, how fortunate a chance he had to watch from the sidelines and view the five as they acted. Though, he felt as if there was a sixth, unseen member around.
A... demon? he questioned in his head before dismissing the idea. Nah... He returned to watching the five carefully.
(OOC: Sorry for the wait. I just have NOTHING to work with aside from what I have -_- Oh well. C'mon, KT! Help make me relevant!)
