(@char: I understand where you're coming from; don't worry about it.)
Outside of the shop, Keith would look over Britney as discreet as he could, in the hopes that she wouldn't detect it and assume he was just 'checking her out'. "Small world, huh? My name's Keith. Keith Wiles". ----- As Naomi approached the cart slowly, her telepathy happened to pick up a negative resonance of Eddie's thoughts. To be honest, her sixth sense wasn't precisely due to something such as clairvoyance; it was based off the emotions of any spirits near her and the stray thoughts of anyone near her. Her brain, while unable to pick up these exact emotions and thoughts in this way, would instead process them in a way where she would understand if there was an ill intent. In addition, any object moving toward her at a high velocity would also be sensed, even from afar, and she could react quicker than most.
The only problem? She couldn't detect WHAT the ill intent was or what would cause it, either. It was merely just a 'Spider Sense' of sorts.
Coming more and more close, Eddie's internal wondering and the magical aura of Medea's inventory made Naomi more and more sure that something was awry. All this would turn into explosive terror when she came too close to Arakiti's vicinity, and even from the rooftops Naomi could sense severe evil energies.
"Oh, dear Lord...!" she gasped to herself, terror overwhelming her. "Irish Setter! Get away from her! Pronto! You don't know what she's up to!" With that she would run as quick as she could to the cart, the air around her becoming warmer and warmer as she readied her pyrokinesis, just in case it would be needed. ----- Upon hearing Naomi's exclamation from afar, the fur on the back of Keith's neck would rise and his ears would droop. "That doesn't sound good!" he exclaimed. Wishing he had some kind of weapon with him, he would run toward Naomi, wondering what was happening.

Poppy looked in complete bliss when she found out they were free. "Oh my... but I must insist I leave you a tip" she said, in her sickly sweet voice, "You really are quite the shop host." She gave a strange smile, almost sick and twisted, and she turned to examine the stuff further. Her eyes absorbed the stuff as if they were pure gold, and it was all offered to her for no price.
Poppy was far too gullible sometimes.
"I know" Poppy said, when Medea discussed Britney and Dale. "Britney thinks it's all fake and stupid and Dale... well, he's always drunk so I don't see him very much anymore." She sat down on the dusty floor, looking at Medea, bleeding her trust freely.
As Medea told Poppy her name, Poppy smiled more warmly. "Yes, my name is Poppy. And that is my sister, Britney." When Medea started on Britney, Poppy's mood swung violently.
"Britney? She doesn't trust anything" she growled. "Believes nothing. She's blind to any sort of faith and refuses to see the powers of the supernatural. Despite me, me being captured by Belladonna and our mother being slaughtered by her cronies, she insists Belladonna is just a cowardly mortal dog. Britney's never seen her before you see. She doesn't believe in Annabelle either, she doesn't even believe in justice. Britney's just stubborn. Unpleasant, if you ask me. I don't know what her best friend sees in her." She shuddered slightly, her lips curling back in an unfriendly snarl.
All of a sudden, Ivy's name hit her ears and her mood swung back creepily. Her snarl suddenly transformed into a smile. And a sicker smile than before. Her tone softened to a dangerous tone of sick mystery. "Ivy? Why... Ivy is my best friend. No one can see her though, but she's always there. She's certainly not imaginary though. Far from it." She turned her head to look at something that isn't there. "She understands me."
She turned back to Medea. "You mentioned New Orleans?" she asked, ignoring Naomi outside, whom she clearly heard. "And a store back there... I was just..." She brushed the dust across the ground nervously, "I was just wondering if you needed any help back there... what I wouldn't give to get away from all of this... and you seem to meet all my interests... I'm not saying you have to take me with you but if you feel like you can..."
*
"Oh, leave her alone, she's fine" Britney snarled at Naomi, rolling her eyes. "Anything to get rid of her for a few moments. Please, don't make her come back earlier than she could..."
But she heard Keith say that "it wasn't good" and she tilted her head. "Um... it's just a merchant cart, right?" Britney asked. "Can someone please explain to me what's going on?!"
"Perhaps I can explain..."
*
Arakiti had been watching closely. Her interest grew as the pack slowly grew. The gorgon dog grinned wickedly when Naomi yelled for Poppy to come out. She chuckled dementedly before climbing down from the roof onto a near by dumpster, carefully. She was as silent as a mouse in her movements. She stood in the shadows for a while, watching on. She smirked sadistically. When she thought the time was right, she stood up straight and walked out.
"Perhaps I can explain..."
(OOC: I dunno, can anyone picture Kristen Chenoweth as Poppy? I can... Poppy sort of reminds me of Galinda [From Wicked]. Am I alone?)

Medea listened to Poppy intently as she spoke of her family and explained who Ivy was. "Hmmm", said Medea, looking thoughtful. "She sounds like a spirit. And this sister of yours sounds like a real gem. Of course Annabelle and Belladonna are real." I work for that dumb demon dog, Medea thought. Always wants thing her way. I like to-
Medea's train of thought was suddenly broken when she heard the sound of someone outside and she turned and hissed at the door before turning back to Poppy, who was talking about Medea's shop in New Orleans. She listened closely to Poppy and almost shook her head in disbelief. She wanted to work for her back at her shop? Medea smiled and purred gratefully.
"Deary", she started. "That would be wonderful. I could use an extra set of paws in my shop come to think of it. Of course you can work for me. If that's what you really want. But I don't think Britney would like it if I just up and left with you. We'll wait till we go back to New Orleans okay?" Medea turned away from Poppy, leaped up onto the table and fished around the mounds of stuff before she pulled out a charm necklace just like hers. She held it in her teeth and leaped back off the table and presented it to Poppy, putting it around her neck.
"There you go, Love", said Medea, stroking Poppy's charm. "Now everyone will know that you're an employee and friend of mine. Matching charm necklaces." For once, Medea actually felt a wave of sympathy for the dog. Sure, in the beginning she was going to hand the mutt over to Belladonna, but there was something about Poppy that she liked. Not many were like Medea, truly like her and her beliefs. She actually started seeing Poppy as a friend. She almost cursed herself for becoming soft for the mutt but in a way she couldn't help it.
Medea lowered her paw from Poppy's new necklace and smiled in a friendly way. "Now Deary", said Medea. "Why don't you go pick yourself out something? I don't mean to rush you but it seems that your friends are getting worried. Just come to me when you're ready. Don't want to keep them waiting for too long." Not only that but there's a mutt out there who also works for BellaDonna, Medea thought bitterly as she caught her scent. Arakiti, not now....
*** Meanwhile, not too far away, Soapy lay on a cozy pillow in front of a fireplace at Toby's grandmother's house. The heat was making her tired and she curled up tighter and thought about asking to go outside. Perhaps her friends were here. She knew Keith and the physic dog Naomi was. She could always visit them. After my nap, Soapy thought, her eyes already starting to get heavy. Suddenly, there was a loud banging from upstairs and Soapy's eyes flew open as she heard the banging plus muffled voices coming from upstairs. What's going on up there?, Soapy thought, raising her head then getting to her feet. She walked across the room and walked towards the stairs when she saw something large and green coming down the stairs. It even had legs! Soapy backed up and almost let out a yelp before she saw Toby and his grandma lugging the thing down, Toby at the front. Soapy wagged her tail as she realized what it was. The Christmas tree! "Toby, go help your sister down from the attic", said his grandmother. "I told you to stay and help her with the ornaments. Why can't you understand that I can still hold a tree. A pine tree no less." "But Grandma", Toby protested, setting the tree down. "You aren't as young as you used to be. I'll go get Maria now". "I appreciate your concern for me Toby", said his grandmother. "But I'm not as frail as you think. Oh, before you go upstairs, can you please set the tree stand up?" "See", said Toby. "You do need my help." His grandmother sighed and Soapy watched as Toby set up the Christmas tree stand then backed up as his grandmother hauled the tree in. Soapy thingyed her head. There was stuff missing. Where were the shiny balls and the lights? Toby stopped to pet Soapy on his way up the stairs. "Now the fun part", he said. "Decorating the tree". Of course, thought Soapy as Toby ran up the stairs. They have to decorate it. "Alright Soapy", said Toby's grandmother. "We're going to be very busy in here and I don't need to go to the vet because you got trampled or cut by an ornament. Toby said you have friends around here. Why don't you go outside?" His grandmother started walking towards the front door and Soapy followed. She wanted to stay and help decorate the tree but she also didn't want to be in everyone's way. As Toby's grandmother opened the front door she smiled at Soapy. "Go on girl", she said. "And be back by dark". Soapy shivered as the freezing air from outside entered the toasty warm house. She bolted out the door and watched it close behind her. The wind blew and ruffled Soapy's thick winter coat and Soapy was grateful to have some protection against the cold. She made her way down the driveway and started to race down the street, her nose sniffing everything, trying to pick up the scent of Naomi or Keith.
(OOC-Awww! Meddy's found a friend! How cute! And yay! Here's Soapy! On her way to see Naomi and Keith. She doesn't know that Britney and Poppy are there so she's going to get a surprise by seeing them and the mysterious cart. So yea, one of you guys notice her and call her over or something so she isn't aimlessly wandering the streets. Lol. I mean she'll eventually see them but, eh, you know what I mean.)

( Soapy: No worries; the post turned out fine. Won't exactly be able to call over the character Soapy though; Keith and Naomi are going to have their hands [paws?] tied at the moment) Stopping dead in her tracks, Naomi could sense the wicked energies now at ground level. She turned, staring down Arakiti. This being seemed to have a plethora of power to her, so much so that Naomi feared her powers alone might not be enough to fend her off if things turned dangerous. "And just who might you be, darkling?" asked the wolf-dog defiantly. --- "I have no idea", shot back Keith as he ran to Naomi, "But whatever's happening, with her, it can't be--" Like his close friend, Keith too stopped dead in his tracks as he saw Arakiti appear from the shadows. He himself didn't have ANY supernatural powers, but he could not help but get a feeling of deep dread from this being alone. "...having a psychic friend", he said under his breath, "...can be SUCH a hassle for one's well-being..."

Poppy shrugged half-heartedly. "I guess you could class Ivy as a spirit... I found her in an old house, she was trapped inside when she died there. She's a border collie, at least that's what she told me." Poppy's smile curled upwards even more. "She's being awfully quiet now. She's shy for a spirit." Her smile grew even more when she was accepted into the selling business. "Oh, wow" she exclaimed. "Thank you! I can;t tell you how satisfying it is to be working with something that interests me." Her tail swept across the dusty floor. Then she tilted her head as she watched Medea pull out a charm for her. "For me?" she asked, sweetly. She let Medea slide it over her neck, and she smiled proudly. "I've never had a true friend before." It was true. No one particularly liked Poppy, in fact, sometimes even Britney wanted to avoid her. And God forbid, but sometimes, Poppy wondered if Dale even knew who she was half the time. She had never really gotten close to Soapy very much, as Britney liked to her keep her at a reasonable distance when she was with friends (which wasn't much, Britney was only slightly more popular than Poppy, thanks to her bitter attitude). As for BlackDeath... she was lucky if she went through one day without Scott insulting her. "Britney?" Poppy looked rather confused. "You think Britney would mind if I disappeared?" Poppy paused slightly before laughing. "I barely think she'd notice! But if you insist, I can wait." She tilted her head, smiling softly. "The thought of something to look forward to will get me through a horrible Christmas with my mafia group..." She shuddered. "I hate BlackDeath... Scott is just foul." Poppy smiled at a crystal ball. "I always wanted a crystal ball... if you will, may I have one?" * Britney turned her head suddenly and snarled at the mysterious green dog that just joined. Arakiti simply wore a smart smirk. As she walked, her muscles rippled under her fur. Her eyes twinkled maliciously, and if one were to look deeply in them, they would feel nauseous. Arakiti had the ability to master her powers (which where that of a gorgon). "Darling?" Arakiti laughed slightly. Her laugh was cold and taunting. She too, like Medea, did not enjoy working with Belladonna. She never followed orders right, as she was never bothered to attempt. "Oh, please, sweetheart. Don't nickname what you aren't sure about." Her voice was hissing, soft and hissing, like a snake. Before she could open her mouth to speak, her eyes turned a strange, dusty orange colour and turned her head to look at Britney. "A friend of yours is near." "... come again?" Britney asked. "Smell the air" Arakiti said, smoothly. Britney did so, uneasily, and caught onto Soapy's scent. How did Arakiti know...? Britney glared at her, snarling. "What's your deal, are you stalking me?" she ordered. Arakiti instantly laughed a more cold laugh. "Me? Stalk you? Sweetheart, I have much better things to do with my time than bother myself with you" Arakiti said. Britney narrowed her eyes and grumbled. She stood up. "I'm looking for Soapy" she snapped, storming off. Arakiti watched her, with amused eyes, the same smirk from before on her face. (OOC: This is what Arakiti's laugh is like www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VcQJf7WQ1oIt's Medusa's laugh, you have to watch about ten seconds to hear it, but it's what it sounds like)

Medea tilted her head as Poppy explained who Ivy was and thought for a minute. "She certainly sounds like a spirit", said Medea. "I mean if she was dead...." Medea smiled at Poppy's reaction when she said that the canine could work with her. "No trouble at all Deary", said Medea. "I could use the company." She purred softly and smiled warmly as Poppy spoke of having no friends. Medea could relate. Sure she had Arakiti and Belladonna, but they weren't her friends. Like Arakiti, she wasn't bothered with Belladonna's dumb plots that always failed and would be lazy about taking out orders. But boy did she love getting under Belladonna's fur.
"I've never had a true friend before either", Medea admitted, looking down at her paws. "I'm glad I found one in you." She lifted up her paw and began to lick it again but stopped in mid lick when Poppy spoke of her 'Mafia' group and some guy named Scott. Medea placed her paw down and looked at Poppy. "Mafia group?", Medea said shocked. "Oh Deary, you don't belong in a group like that. You're too sweet for such nonsense. You poor kid". She nodded as Poppy asked for a crystal ball. "Of course Deary", said Medea. "Whatever you'd like". Medea turned around and made her way across the dusty wooden floor of the cart, behind the table, and pushed out a crystal ball towards Poppy.
"There we are", said Medea once it sat between them. "Anything else I can get you, Dea-I mean Poppy?" Medea felt herself stiffen all of a sudden as a familiar cold and taunting laugh reached her ears. Great, Medea thought bitterly. She IS here. Probably checking up on me. Like she listens to every order Belly gives her.
She shook her head out of her trance and looked at Poppy. Was Arakiti here for her? Medea couldn't let Arakiti take Poppy. Not when she had given Poppy her trust. Medea sighed. There was only one thing to do. "Poppy", said Medea. "Please stay here with me. You heard that evil laugh right? I want you to stay in here with me. There's someone out there who could harm you. Don't go outside."
For once, Medea actually felt care towards the canine. Friendship. She couldn't let Poppy find out about her working for Belladonna. ***** Soapy had heard the laugh. She slid to a stop in the cold street and shivered, not from the cold, but from that laugh. It sounded so evil so... Soapy suddenly thingyed her head. A few feet away she saw what looked like a gypsy cart. Was that where the evil laugh was coming from? She took a few steps forward then turned her head against the cold wind that blew her way. And with that blow of cold air came scents. Scents Soapy knew. She lifted her head and sniffed the air. She could smell Keith and Naomi, and some other scent she didn't know that smelled foul. But there was another scent. One she would know anywhere. One that she had smelled more times than she could count. It was Britney.
Soapy gasped and started running, kicking up slush as she did so. She knew Naomi would be able to protect Britney from the owner of the evil laugh but what if Britney had been attacked and Naomi and Keith had just discovered her now? Another question entered her mind. Where was Poppy?
(OOC-Clash Of The Titans was a great movie! I loved it even better than 300. And that's saying a lot because I thought 300 was amazing. Little too gory for my taste but eh, I still loved it.)

Poppy looked a little confused when she was called sweet. She had been called many things; crazy, unstable, a freak of nature... she had never really received a proper compliment before. She warmed up to the compliment and smiled a wide smile. "Oh... why thank you. I've always wanted to leave BlackDeath since I joined, but I never had the courage to tell Scott I was leaving. Plus, I had no where else to go until now."
Poppy wheeled the crystal ball towards herself and smiled at it. "I think this will do me for now, thank you" she said, politely and sweetly, in her little "I'm innocent" voice.
She tilted her head when Medea seemed to go off a bit, as she caught the sound of the laugh too. She shuddered slightly, as it was a very evil laugh. At first, she thought to ignore it, but she noticed Medea seemed to be paying some sort of attention. She wanted to find out the source of the laughter, but Medea asked her to stay inside, so she did as she was told, nodding.
"Alright" she responded. But her curiosity still rose...
*
Britney noticed Soapy race towards her, and she smiled. "Soapy! What a nice surprise!"
"Yes, how pleasant..." Arakiti said, almost sarcastically. Britney glared at her before turning her attention back to her best friend.
"What brings you over here?" Britney asked her. But she frowned when she noticed Soapy looked a little worried. "What is everyone worried about?! It's just a cart full of fake magic!"
(OOC: Oh Britney and you're non-believer attitude. Me too, I loved Clash of the Titans <3 Sam Worthington was indeed mega om nom nom. And Medusa was very well done. The character development was really bad though... the only person I felt for was Iou...)

"Soapy...?" The husky mix thought for a moment. "What on earth could you... how do you even know who she is?!" She didn't know what this fiendish canine was up to, but she wasn't about to let anything happen to Soapy. By now, she was more concerned with trying to hold off Arakiti than worry about Poppy and Medea.

Soapy felt her heart start to pound as she got closer and closer to the cart, her eyes fixed on it. She was so busy watching the cart that she didn't notice Britney running towards her and bowled into her head on, letting out a yelp of surprise and skidding back in the snow. "Oh my God!", said Soapy, leaping up, shaking the snow from her coat. "I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking where I was-Britney!" As soon as Soapy saw her friend she wagged her tail and gave her a nuzzle. "Oh thank goodness your safe. I thought you were dead! I heard an evil laugh and I saw Keith and Naomi but I only caught your scent and another dog's. I thought you were hurt." She ignored Britney's question when she saw a green dog approach the pair. Soapy sniffed the air. That's the dog I smelled before, Soapy thought. I bet she was the one who made that laugh. Soapy forced herself to look away from the green canine, afraid that if she were to look in the canine's eyes she would be posessed or something. "Britney", she whispered, her voice shaking. "Who is that?"
****
Medea paced around the dusty floor of her cozy cart, feeling Poppy's curiosity. But it wasn't only Poppy who was curious, Medea was curious as well as to why Arakiti was here. Probably come to check up on me, Medea thought. Then again, she could be out here pulling one of Belladonna's missions. I've got to find out. But how? Poppy's here and Belladonna wants her then her sister would kill me. There's got to be something I can have Poppy do while I go check this out. After a few more paces a thought came to Medea's head and she turned to smile at Poppy. "Poppy dear", she purred. "Now that you work for me how about we get started in here hm? If you could organize everything neatly in here you would be most helpful. And while you're doing that, I'm going to step outside for a moment. I need to go get something for a spell. I'll be back in a few." Medea turned around and slipped out the door, not waiting for an answer from Poppy and closed the door behind her. Then she started to make her way towards the other dogs, including Arakiti. "Hello Akakiti", Medea called out smoothly. "What brings you here? Become the boss's little pet and have now taken up the job of checking up on me? How sweet. I thought you'd be too busy flirting with Carface." Then again I'm just as guilty, thought Medea. I flirt with Killer all the time to get him to do stuff for me. The stupid mutt always falls for my charm. "I do hope you're treating my Killer well", she continued.
(OOC-Sorry for the wait! Ah well, better late than never! I'm not really happy with this post to be honest but bleh. It'll do.)

Before Poppy could say yes, Medea had left the cart. Poppy's face fell for a moment before she shrugged it off, smiling as she glanced around.
"Hm..." she thought to herself. "What a fascinating place, as if I haven't said it enough." She began to organize the nick nacks in the cart, whilst humming to herself softly.
*
Britney fell with an "oof" onto the ground when Soapy collided with her and shook the dizziness out of her head. "Is this going to become some sorta hobby between us, coz I ain't loving it" she muttered. She smiled when Soapy greeted her. "Well, as far as I know, I'm not hurt, as you can see" she replied. When she noticed Soapy look at Arakiti, she also looked back.
Arakiti was watching them, a smooth smirk on her face. Britney scowled when Soapy asked who it was and she shrugged. "Some mutt who wandered up to us from the alleyways. The freak show must be in town or something."
Arakiti averted her eyes from Britney and Soapy to Naomi and smiled a weird smile, her eyes having the malicious glint. "As for you're question, "darling", you can call me Arakiti. Meddie, if you wish. And I know quite a lot of people. Or at least I can sense a presence of friendship nearby. It's has a sickening strong aurora, if you ask me." She scowled instantly when she spoke of friendship and then Medea appeared.
"Well, well, well. Isn't this a surprise? Well, I do wonder who else I shall meet on this winter day, don't you?" she said, with crafty fake enthusiasm in her voice. "I was just considering saying hello to a good comrade of mine..." Her voice was soft and taunting. When Medea brought up "flirting" with Carface, Arakiti's eyes widened and then she laughed.
It was louder and much more sickening in it's taunting. Despite being in the street in the middle of the day, it managed to have a sickly echo. She had her head hung over, and her eyes were glowing slightly as the strolled to wards the cat before she snarled savagely, lunging down violently but not attacking.
"Mind your mouth, Meds" she said, nicknaming the cat cleverly. The glow had disappeared but the glint was evilness was still there. She added in a soft whisper so only Medea could here, "I could get you killed so easy, it isn't even funny." She stood up, suddenly smiling brightly. "Well, this has been a pleasant reunion, hasn't it?"
(OOC: Arakiti is meeeean. My tests end tomorrow. Praise the Lord. OH! By the way, Soapy, I have you're request about the human Soapy ALMOST done. I've sketched it, inked it, now I just need to colour it. Will be ready soon!)
