So... yeah. I really, really don't wish to start this up until three criteria are met: a) I figure out what kind of game system to use, b) I get enough people who are interested and would be able to post regularly [at least daily], and c) I am able to set up a time to start this out.
But, basically, I was considering making an All Dogs RPG system and starting up a game of it. The plot itself would be an adventure of my creation that would try to explain what happened between ADGTH2 and ADGTH: the Series.
As for the game system I had in mind, I had been tossing around a few ideas. The game system would be one that would emphasize quick skill-related and combat situations, and would probably be more closely related to a console RPG game than a tabletop one.
For those interested, I will edit this or add another reply with more information if need be. Furthermore, if everyone interested has YIM, I could set up a group chat on a specific night at least once a week. If agreed to, we could possibly do much, much more than simply going in-between posts.
Overall though, I need a few bits of inspiration on what you guys would like to see and be able to use in-game. If provided with help, I can help make this game even more fun.
One final thing: I would prefer each player having only one character in-game, maybe two if fewer people join. Since this will be a roleplaying game, having huge 'parties' of characters will make fight scenes longer and more tedious IMHO.
So... yeah. It's, like, 1:18 AM where I'm at right now. Gonna literally sleep on it for now.

Sounds good, Soapy. Now then... here's what I've come up with thus far... ------- The main mechanic of this game involves using a six-sided die. In a skill-based situation, one's skill rank (up to a max of 5) plus the dice roll versus an opposing roll will determine who succeeds. For example, if trying to lie, one would roll a "Deception" skill and would be compared to the target's rolled "Sense Motive" skill.
In a combat situation, the die determines hits and misses. Rolling a 1 will result in a miss, rolling a 6 is always a critical hit (causes Defense-piercing damage and adds 1 to 6 more points of damage, depending on what is rolled on the die after getting the 'crit'). In some cases, one can critically hit by rolling a 5 with certain weapons. Miracles (or other supernatural powers) can't 'crit', but already deal damage that is not reduced by one's defensive gear.
Each level gained, one character may invest another point to rise the ranks of one of their skills. Each character starts with a rank of one in a varying number of skills based on their class, and then chooses one of those chosen skills to give another free rank, rising it from one rank to two.
In regards to classes, I've come up with five of them: *The Hero is talented at both fighting physically and using miracles. They start play with two types of weapons they can use, and two miracles. In addition, one selects which type of miracles the Hero is closer to: a Blessed's or a Zealot's.
*The Rogue has the most number of skills and is the fastest out of any other class. They can use two types of weapons, but have no miracles they can use. However, as they level up they gain new abilities.
*The Fighter is the best class in terms of physical strength. They can use up to three types of weapons and can use the best armor, but, like the Rogue, they cannot use miracles. Like the Rogue, however, as they gain levels they will master new abilities.
*The Blessed has more physical strength than the Zealot, and is skilled at evoking miracles. They gain up to two types of weapons, and can wear any armor like a Fighter can. Their miracles play off of two aspects, one chosen for the character upon creation: the Protection Aspect, which relies on defensive powers, and the Judgment Aspect, which offers more offense-based miracles. Either way, both are the best healers out of any other character type.
*The Zealot is not skilled at physical fighting, but more than make up for it with miracle-based power. They can only use one type of weapon and can only use the weakest of armors. However, they excel at using damaging and debilitating miracles. Like the other two miracle-using classes before it, the Zealot much choose a category of miracle mastery: in this case, either the Inquisitor or Exorcist role. Inquisitor Zealots are skilled at fighting cryptids (monster-like beings) and machines, while Exorcist Zealots are better at combating spirits and demons. ------- The eight skills are as follows:
*Athletics: Allows for running, swimming, and climbing. Opposed to a preset number based on how difficult the challenge is. *Acrobatics: Allows for balancing, jumping, and tumbling out of danger. Opposed to a preset number. *Deception: Allows for upholding a disguise or blatantly lying. Opposed to a Sense Motives roll. *Charisma: Allows for diplomatic speech or seduction. Opposed to a Sense Motives roll. *Sense Motives: Allows one to detect a deception of some sort. Opposed to a Deception or Charisma roll. *Thievery: Allows for lock picking and undetected theft. Opposed to a preset number or a Notice roll respectively. *Stealth: Allows one to move silently or to hide. Opposed to a Notice roll. *Notice: Allows one to find a hidden creature or object, or to detect pickpocketing. Opposed to a Stealth or Thievery roll. ------- As for equipment, there are various kinds, categorized into Items and Equipment. Items are used once, and usually have some kind of beneficial effect. Items such as food restore HP, for instance.
The other kind, Equipment, increase a character's base stats. There are two kinds: weapons and armor. The types of weapons are:
*Knives- Not very strong, but critically hit often (Always on a 5 or 6) and increase Speed. *Swords- Cause decent damage and increases Defense. *Whips- Cause decent damage and increases Faith *Cudgels (Axes and Maces)- Powerful but decreases Speed. *Pistols- Cause a preset amount of damage that pierces Defense. *Throwing Weapons- Not very strong, but can hit twice (50% chance to do so) and increase Speed. *Knuckles- Stronger than knives, they critically hit somewhat more often (50% chance to do so upon rolling a 5). *Crosiers- Not very strong, but increases Faith more than whips do.
There are also three types of armors: Heavy, Medium and Light. Heavy armor increases one's Defense the most, whereas light armor provides the least amount of protection. ------- There are seven types of attributes for each character: *Health Points (HP)- Determines how much damage can be taken before being KO'd. *Miracle Points (MP)- Determines how many miracles can be used; different ones cost different amounts of MP. *Attack (ATK)- Determines damage done with weapons; it is a static number (will not increase by leveling up). *Defense (DEF)- Determines amount of damage reduced with each attack against the character; it is a static number. *Faith (FAI)- Determines amount of damage/effect done with miracles. *Speed (SPD)- Determines turn order along with a dice roll; it is a static number. ------- Now, onto the base statistics of each class...
The order of each will be as follows: Starting HP/Starting MP/ATK/DEF/FAI/SPE/# of Weapons/# of Miracles/# of Skills/Strongest type of armor
*Hero: 30/10/2/1/1/10/2 weapons/1 miracle/3 skills/Medium armor *Rogue: 30/0/1/1/0/12/2 weapons/no miracles/4 skills/Medium armor *Fighter: 35/0/2/2/0/8/3 weapons/no miracles/2 skills/Heavy armor *Blessed: 25/20/1/1/2/10/2 weapons/2 miracles/2 skills/Heavy armor *Zealot: 20/20/1/0/3/12/1 weapon/2 miracles/3 skills/Light armor
Each level, a character's HP and MP increases by 5, and their Faith increases by 2 (for those who cannot use miracles, they do not gain any more MP or Will). ------- Hang on tight, there's only this and one more section to read. This one shows the first miracles and abilities gained at Level 1. There are 20 levels in total, BTW. Without further ado, here are all of those available at first level. Note, a miracle is noted with an (M) and requires MP, and an ability is noted with an (A) and requires no MP.
Any abilities are automatically gained; you do not need to choose which ones you gain. Finally, when choosing miracles, one may select from any combination of their General miracles and their "type" miracles (i.e. Protection or Judgment for Blessed characters).
*Hero: General* (A) Protect- Allows you to take the damage for one character. You may designate one character to take damage for during your turn, and after that you may still act on your turn during the round. After that, you may only choose a different ally to protect or to stop using Protect on your turn.
*Hero: Blessed Type* (M) Heal [2 MP]- Restores HP to one character equal to the user's Faith +10. (M) Shield [3 MP]- Increases one ally's Defense by 1/2 of the user's Faith +3 for 3 turns.
*Hero: Zealot Type* (M) Burn [2 MP]- Causes Fire damage equal to Faith +3. (M) Chill [2 MP]- Causes Cold damage equal to Faith +3.
*Rogue* (A) Size Up- Reveals one target's remaining HP.
*Fighter* (A) Berserk- When used, the Fighter makes an attack. Though less accurate (considered one die result lower than normal), this attack causes 150% damage to the target rounded down if it hits.
*Blessed: General* (M) Heal [2 MP]- Restores HP to one character equal to the user's Faith +10.
*Blessed: Protection Aspect* (M) Shield [3 MP]- Increases one ally's Defense by 1/2 of the user's Faith +3 for 3 turns. (M) Cat Nap [2 MP]- 50% chance of making one enemy fall Asleep for two turns (cannot act unless hit with a physical attack).
*Blessed: Judgment Aspect* (M) Zap [4 MP]- Causes Lightning damage to all enemies, equal to Faith +1. (M) Awe [3 MP]- 33.3% chance of Stunning one foe (skips the target's next turn).
*Zealot: Inquisitor Role* (M) Burn [2 MP]- Causes Fire damage equal to Faith +3. (M) Chill [2 MP]- Causes Cold damage equal to Faith +3.
*Zealot: Exorcist Role* (M) Soul Spark [3 MP]- Causes damage to spirits/demons equal to Faith +5. (M) Turning [3 MP]- Attempts to Stun all spirits/undead, 33.3% chance of each being stunned. ------ Final section! Now, for those interested, here is what you must fill out to join in:

BTW, Wonder, you and Soapy are currently the only ones interested. If need be, you'll be able to play 2 characters. I merely don't want fights to take forever with countless characters battling, but I also don't want too few characters as well.

Say, everyone. Would you guys still wish to give this a try? I still have the reference files on my computer. Furthermore, Wonder, would you be able to get a YIM account if we were to play out sessions on it?

If I find out what an YIM actually is (pathetic, I know), I'll send it to you no problem. TO GOOGLE! *zooms away*
If we're playing one character, I'll happily be Britney on her own. If two, I think I'll bring in Jimmy, I kind of miss rping him and it'll do my head the world of good if I give Poppy a bit of a rest...

Scratch that, I had to make it AGAIN. I'm sorry. I'll take care of that, I'm sorry. It's just that our recent browser closed so I can't get into any of my families e-mails either, so I had to make one from scratch. I hope you don't mind.
