Out of the mist a farmilar figure comes along. "Soapy? Britany? What are you doing out having flashbacks at this time of year?!" a male voice chourused. The farmilar retriver Dale stepped out. "Everything ok with you guys? You seem lonely... and worried about something... Soapy? Are you ok?" He remembered Soapy's little falshback problem. He thought over what to do. "Soapy... everything is'nt planned in life... its over now anyways, and its time to put the past behind you" Dale whispered, trying to calm Soapy down a little bit from her flashback. (OOC-A REUNION! LOL! Just joking . Well, I hope Nicky joins us someday in this place. Anyway, Britany messaged me bout this roleplay and I joined. So here I am)

Soapy stood in the cold darkness of her old home and gasped when a voice came from behind her. "Jason", Soapy whispered? "Is that you?" It was then not only his scent but also his figure appeared. Dale. Soapy sighed and looked at Dale with her big green eyes. "Dale I....What are you doing here?", asked Soapy. Then another voice rang out. "Over here Britnay!", Soapy called out. Soapy looked back at Dale and her eyes almost filled up. "Jason....he.....this is.....where I found him the night of the fire", said Soapy. "He.....he was so helpless.....I never knew humans could be so helpless except as babies but.....he needed me. He was only 17. I know that's a lot in dog years but in human years.....he had barely begun to live his life. All because of this stupid fire!" Soapy shoved a piece of wood aside and gasped at what she found under it. It was a metal skull with shining ruby eyes. Part of it was melted off but it was still in pretty good shape. "This was Jason's", Soapy whispered. "This was his lucky charm. It's still here." She picked up the skull in her mouth and dropped it into a badly burnt wicker basket. "I wonder what else is around here", said Soapy, makng her way oer to the stairs. "Maybe more of Jason's things." Soapy leaped up the brken, burned stairs and walked down the long hallway and to the left. She nudged open a door and looked back at her friends. "This is Jason's room", said Soapy, looking around the destroyed room.

Britany nodded at Dales advice. When she saw Sopay take off, she followd her friend loyally. "Oof! Stupid stairs! I almost fell through them! Oh, so this is Jasons "room"? Hmmm, never saw one before, but it looks pretty big" Britany said, looking in. It was true. Never in her young life was Britany been in a house, burnt or not. And the rooms to her were big enough for her family to live in! She sniffed out the burning smell that was left here after years. "This one was pretty serious... I saw it when I was hunting, and saw you. I was about to follow you but Scott held me back for my own safety. But if I had the chance, I would have helped you and Jason... it was just to late when I got away from Scott... it was burnt to the ground..." Even to Britany it was the most horrific thing she had seen. The flames were scary as was the screams inside it. She gulped down something that tasted like... nothing. But it was guilt. If she would've have let Scott take over she could have helped, dying in the process or not. "Soapy... how... how did the fire start? What happened?" Britany asked, looking at her friend. She knew it was the wrong questoin to ask but she wanted to know.

Soapy walked over to Jason's bed and gasped a little as she saw what was against it. His old guitar. "This was Jason's guitar."said Soapy, running her paw gently over the destroyed strings, filling the room with an eerie noise. "He used to play it and....and write songs. He used to sing all the time. He even had a band." Soapy was only half listening to Britnay as her eyes drifted from the guitar to the large broken window. She heard Britnay's question though and turned to her. "The fire...", Soapy started, her eyes filling up. "It was the oven. Jason's mom had left it on and told Jason to shut it off when dinner was ready but.....something went wrong with the oven....I heard a bang inside and all of a sudden there was fire.....everywhere. I tried barking for them to see but those beeping things beat me to it and Jason's mother fell in the living room, his father went to help her and flames blocked their way out. And Jason was worried so he stayed behind when I ran out. That's when I came back in to rescue them. But I was too late". Soapy bowed her head for a moment then lifted it and started to softly sing.
There's a grief that can't be spoken There's a pain goes on and on Empty house and empty bedrooms Now my family's dead and gone
Here Jason talked of being a singer Here it was he lit the flame His parents talked about 'the future' But the future never came
From that desk there in the corner Jason was almost reborn And he rose with a strong voice singing I can hear him now! The very words he had sung Became his last communion In this lonely bedroom at dawn.
Oh my family please forgive me That I live and you are gone There's a grief that can't be spoken There's a pain goes on and on
Phantom faces in the window Phantom shadows on the floor Empty house and empty bedrooms Where my family is no more.
Oh my family please don't ask me What my sacrifice was for Empty house and empty bedrooms Where my family is no more
When Soapy was finished singing she bowed her head again and closed her eyes, staying silent once more.
(Okay! Here's a link to the song Soapy is singing. I just changed the words a bit to make it more fitting.
I love this musical! Also, welcome back Dale!)

Britany sat down listening. She was pretty good. It made Britany think back on when Scott found her and brought her in. "Soapy, thier still with you yenno... in here" Britany said, pointing to her heart. She had just repeated what Soapy once said to her. But it was good advice. The place gave Britany the shudders, but she could'nt ask to just LEAVE. Britany nuzzled Soapy softly. "I-I think we should go now Soapy... lets tell Dale where we are going, he might want to come too!" Britany said, smiling. (OOC-I am nit feeling "lenthy" today. And seconds to you Dale, welcome back! )

Soapy looked over at Britnay and smiled softly. She remembered when she told Britnay that. "Yeah", said Soapy. "I know. It''s just....I don't know, Jason and his family were so good to me. I miss seeing them." Soapy looked aroud the room and jumped a little when Britnay nuzzled her. She wasn't expecting that. "Thanks Britnay", said Soapy, nuzzling her friend back. "You're a good friend Britnay". Soapy gave her a small smile and sensed her fear. "Yeah maybe we should go", said Soapy. "It's getting kind of depressing in here." Soapy stood up and made her way towards the door and down the stairs. "We're ging to get some treats Dale, and we're gonna dress up", said Soapy, taking Britnay's advice. "Wanna come with us?" When Soapy reached the bottom of the stairs she walked towards the wicker basket and loked at the etal skull. "I'm taking this with me", Soapy said. "Its too special to leave behind". With that Soapy picked up the skull in her moith and squeezed through the doggy door, leading outside.
(UGH! My cousin's computer sucks to type on. I hate that new keyboard tightness. Ah well, I'll be home tomorrow evening.)

Britany didnt mind what she took, as long as she got out. There was a feeling of... ghosts... ghost all around her.
"Yea Dale, its gonna be fun! Yenno what they say, the more the merrier!" Britany said. She didnt want Dale lounging around here. Britany was a strong setter, but she believed in ghosts. And this place had a reeking feeling of them.
What do you expect, its hallow'een?... at frist Britany jumped, but then she relized, she just thought the phrase. She quickly hurried to the door, before she saw any realy ones. She hated ghosts with all her heart and soul, and in a burnt house with dead souls in it, didnt comfort her in the least. She turned to her not-so long lost brother and said; "Coming Dale?"

Soapy could sense Britnay's uneasiness towards the old house. It was damp and dark, like a cave. Soapy felt a little funny going inside herself, to see her old house burned after the fire. It was even worse going in Jason's bedroom, the place where Soapy sent most of her puppy hood. It was scary to think that her family wasn't ever going to come back and even more scary that she went inside the house and explored. She was glad she did it though. If she hadn't, she wouldn't have found Jason's lucky skull or that comforting feeling she got when she'd stepped into his room. True, it was Halloween, a night for ghosts to haunt and scare but Soapy couldn't help but wonder if maybe if the ghosts did show up, maybe she'd see Jason again. Soapy shook her head at the ridiculous thought and continued down the walkway, following Britnay. It wasn't until she got to the end of the walkway when she felt a feeling as if they were being watched. She turned her head and looked back towards the house, staring at it curiously. She came to a full stop and looked at one of the windows, seeing a large form looming from Jason's room. Soapy gasped , almost dropping the skull in her mouth. She laid it down near the mailbox and looked back at the window. It was still there. "I'll be right back guys", said Soapy. "I see something inside and I want to go check it out." Soapy turned and ran up the walkway, up the porch and through the doggy door. When she was back inside she looked around, sniffing. All she could smell was burning and wetness. But there was another smell too. A smell that Soapy recognized as a dog. Suddenly, she heard footsteps on the stairs and backed up a little, wagging her tail at the same time. "Jason?", she called. The figure of a big dog was cast on the wall of the stairwell and Soapy's heart beat fast in both fear and excitement. But what came down was enough to scare the bravest puppy. A huge Doberman Pincher appeared from the darkness, a low growl in his throat. Soapy stood there, frozen solid in fear and watched as he got closer, and closer, looming over Soapy like a giant. Soapy's green eyes widened in fear and her breathing was ragged. Was she about to die? "Help", she called out, very very shakily. "Help me".

Dael was still in the house though. He had'nt left. He was upstairs and heard Britany and Soapy leave. He dicided to hang around a little longer. this place reminded him of his old opwner. Dale was a stray dog, but was not always a stray dog. Infact, when he was a puppy, some kind boy took him in. What happened to him, Dale would never know. He was only there for a couple of days, and some stranger brusted through the door around mindight with a dagger. Of course Dale noticed it, but he was chained to the kennel. he was always charined to the kennel at night, so he would'nt run away. he barked like a maniac but before anyone really noticed, they were all stabbed and the stranger ran away. that day one, Dale walked alone and didnt look at humans like heroes like Sopay, but people that let you down alot.
Then he heard someone come in. It was Soapy. Then came the doberman. Dale was confused but ran down to help Soapy. "YO! Pincher face! Why dont you pick on someone your own size! Like me!" Dale snarled. He walked foward angerily. "Whats your deal brusting through like this eh? Why you even in here?"

Soapy felt herself lower more and more closely to the cold floor, her eyes wide with fear. "Please", she begged hoarsely. "I don't want to fight you". Despite Soapy's plead, the Doberman came closer and closer until he was right over her small frame. By now Soapy was sprawled out on the floor shivering, ears pinned back. The Doberman kept growling but stopped when his nose touched Soapy's head. The growls suddenly turned into curious sniffs as Soapy cowered under him. "Soapsta?", the Doberman asked, almost amazed. Soapy's ears pricked up and she nervously looked up at him, disbelief in her green eyes. "How do you know my name?", Soapy demanded. "Who are you?" "It's me Kid", said the Doberman. "Dante." Soapy stared at him in total shock. Did he say his name was Dante? Soapy remembered a Dante from when she was a pup. He was the dog who lived in the nearby power plant but would occasionally run off to play with Soapy. She remembered going with him, Jason, and Jason's friend, also Dante's owner to the park. "Dante?", Soapy asked in disbelief. "Is....is it really you?" "In the flesh", Dante smirked. "Sorry I was going to attack you. I didn't recognize your scent at first. What are you doing in here anyway? Didn't they....you know". "I just came to explore", said Soapy. "But I should ask you the same thing. What are you doing in my house?" Dante flicked an ear. "It's Halloween, Kid", said Dante. "This is the perfect place for ghost hunting. Don't you agree?" Soapy glared at him. "Stop treating my house like it's a museum", said Soapy. "And get out". Dante was about to answer when Soapy hard Dale yell from behind him. He looked like he was going to attack Dante. "Chill brotha", said Dante. "I was just leaving. But I could go a fight right now". Dante turned away from Soapy and crouched low, growling at Dale. Soapy immediately leaped between the two and looked at Dale. "Dale no", said Soapy. "This is Dante. I knew him since I was a pup". Soapy turned to Dante. "That's my friend Dale", said Soapy. "He's a good friend of mine. Now that I introduced you both, go pick a fight somewhere else." Dante looked over at Dale and stood up straight. "If you say so", said Dante, looking at Dale. "Yo".
(Ugh this sucks. But look! New charrie! Made him up a few days ago. Well, he's also my neighbor's dog and this is how I picture him. He plays with my dog (who's extremely tiny compared to him) Miley. I thought I'd introduce him since I'm working on a comic with the 3 of em plus a bunch more. His profile will be up soon)

Britany ran in soon after that, seeing the doberman, she relized it was a bad moment. Or a reunion... she really didnt know. "Whats going on here?" she said, as if Don was expected to jump out on her any second. She even did a take over her shoulder to see if he was behind her. "Am I interupting something here?"

Soapy gasped as Britnay entered then smiled seeing it was only her. "Britnay", said Soapy. "This is Dante. He's one of my close buddies. I knew him since I was a pup". Dante turned and smiled in Britnay's direction then thingyed his head. "Hey I know her", said Dante. "Aren't you Don's girl?"

Britany smiled at Dante then nodded at him poiletly. "Britany Stone, pleased to make your apperance" she said. But her smile soon faded. Don? How did HE know DON?! "Don...? Ho-ho-how to you know him...? You can say me and him... know each other but we're not as clase as you would think yenno... but how do YOU know DON?" she asked. Now she was frighted. If she said him and her were close, she'd be lying. If she said something horrible about him... for all she knew, he might be his brother! She just remained silent.

Dante smiled at Britnay and Soapy stared at Dante in disbelief. Did he just say he knew Don? When Britnay spoke up, Soapy was right there at her side. "Yeah Dante", said Soapy. "How do you know Don? Is he here? With you?" Dante looked from Soapy to Brtnay. "Relax my little chickadees", said Dante. "Don ain't around here. He's at his mansion. And I know him because he's the one who I've known since my owner started working at the power plant. Apparently, Don's owners own the power plant and snagged my owner to work there. And since my owner doesn't have time to feed me, Don takes care of that. I was actually on my way over to see him. Word on the street is that he's giving out free caviar". Dante rolled onto his back to scratch an itch then lay on his side to look at the girls. "Since Britnay's on bad terms with him, trust me, I know", Dante chuckled. "Don told me about your little two against one fight. Not pretty. I mean he told me Belladonna did it. Or made him do it. Somethin like that." Soapy looked down at Dante rolling around on the floor and stretching his toes out like a puppy before he settled onto his side, looking up at her. When Dante spoke of the fight and said something about Belladonna, she knew he was talking about Britnay's parents' death. Soapy shot Britnay a worried look before looking to Dante, smiling politely. "Thanks Dante", said Soapy, leaning down to his level. "But Britnay, Dale, and I kind of have plans tonight. We'll come with you to Don's some other time maybe." "Is that so?", said Dante. "That's too bad. I really wanted to spend time with you Soapy. I've missed you." Soapy didn't notice the flirtatious look Dante threw her. She was too busy thinking. How much had Don told Dante? What did he tell him? And why? Soapy tilted her head in thought. Should she ask him?

Britany looked and listened. "Yea, his owners are pretty rich, along with his son, Jack. Me and Jack are closer than I am to Don though. But Tony doesn't really like him though" Britany said. She sat and listened to some more. She was relived that Don was'nt around at all, she knew it would end in a broken back. Then something hit her like a large rock. Don told him it was... Belladonna?! Or was it, and that vision she had was just a big truamra? Or maybe she made him do it. Britanys mind went whir and snap with thought. "What? He did? But... but... I dunno..." Britany said. Now life got to the confusoin and regret point. Maybe if she thought about Belladonna she might have blamed her instead of run to conclusions and hurt Don and Jack. "What else has he told you Dante...? Anything else about Belladonna?" she asked. She had once seen Belladonna face to face when she tried to hurt her second family. Luckily, Scott was quite the fighter and scared her off with his skills.
