Charlie was, yet again, boasting about his record on... well... just about anything!
"And THAT was how I got the name-" Charlie ranted. He was just about to go on, when his best friend, Itchy, busted in. Itchy leapt up onto the stool next to Charlie's and was totally out of breath.
"Hey Itch... why the tiredness?" Charlie inquired.
"Charlie... I met... Annabelle... in a window... and she's coming to get... I mean see us!" Itchy said, gasping for air. Charlie grumbled to himself and slouched down.
"Why? Why me?!" he muttered.
"Why what, Charles?" choursed that heavenly, yet annoying voice. Charlie winced, yet managed to put on a smile when he turned to Annabelle.
"Annabelle! What a... somewhat pleasant surprise!" Charlie said.
"Yes... well, I have a ergent mission for you! You see, Charlies, beyond the junkyard lives a female dog... just around Sasha's age" Annabelle said, bringing up a picture of the young mutt. She was a black and white collie, with a small pink bow perched on her right ear.
"Whooooooa... what does SHE need rescuing from?" Charlie said, taking great interest in this mutt's features.
"You see, she is lonely, and is starting to lose faith in heaven!" Annabelle said. "Her name is Amy."
"Well, lets get started on this NOW!" Charlie said.
"Hold on, Charles! Amy is a tough one... you may need a female along with you" Annabelle said, nudging her head towards Sasha. Charlie frowned... well, how was he supposed to break the ice with Amy if Sasha was coming along?!
"Fine..." Charlie muttered. Sasha trotted over, after noticing Charlie's glare at her.
"Whats the trouble?" she asked.
"Sasha, please go with Charles and Itchy on thier mission! They need you!" Annabelle said.
"Theres a surprising sentance" Sasha said, with a slight giggle.
The junkyard was just about in sight.
"So... who's going in frist?" Itchy asked, looking at the large wall.
"How'd she get in there anyway? Fly?" Sasha sneered. Charlie examined the wall. It had barbed wire above it. Then... he noticed a hole at the bottem!
"Ah-ha!" Charlie said, running down the large hill. He squeezed through the hole. Itchy easily slipped in, but Sasha stood there, looking at the hole.
"C'mon Sasha!" Charlie called.
"No way! that'll make my purfect fur SOILED!" Sasha said. but, sighing, she squeezed through. Charlie lightly smirked and was about to taunt her until Itchy inturppted him.
"Hey guys, look!" Itchy said, looking into a large hole in a bunch of junk. Do you think she's in there?"
"Why would a young lady be in there?" Charlie said. But, despite his sentance, he climbed into it. It was dark and cold... and deep... finally, light came into the distance!
"Ah-ha! Jackpot!" Charlie said, with a laugh of triumph. He squeezed out the small hole dug at the end. He looked around to see a alot of junked up cars with a pink car (almost like one of the barbie cars, only much larger) on the top. A head poked out of it. This belonged to Amy.
"Hello?" she asked them.
"Greetings!" Charlie said. Amy laughed harshly.
"What are you, aliens?!" she said. This girl was as rough as Sasha!
"What made you think that?!" retorted Sasha.
"Greetings?! HA! I've heard hola and bonjour being said to me, but greetings?!" Amy scoffed.
"We're angels!" Itchy said. Amy's smirk turned into a frown, then a glower.
"Angels, huh?" she taunted. "Well, "angels". Do me a heavenly favour and LEAVE!" Amy said, disappearing into the pink car again. A song was playing silently from the pink car, so it was obvious the radio still worked in the car.
"Ah... this is gonna be hard" Sasha sighed.
