It drives me crazy when people distort a story like that.

Yeah..that was the only thing that messed up the series. I mean come on, Charlie and Itchy met in New Orleans back in the 1930s, not San Franciso in the 1990s. Also, the episode where Itchy got hypnotized into thinking he was a super hero, I saw a mistake when they showed him as a pup. He had the hat, but in the episode where he and Charlie met, he didn't.

Maybe he went through a hat phase as a puppy. I did when I was around seven or eight.

It also bothers me that the characters (especially Charlie and Carface) are way out of character from the first movie. Am I the only one who notices that Killer is also abit out of character as well? I mean, in the movie he wasn't really evil. If Carface told him to do something, he clearly didn't want to. You could say that sometimes he was thinking "This is a bad idea" during some scenes. And he even saved Annie-Marie at the end, so even if he was bad at first, he turned good at the end. In the series, he just follows Carface without question, gladly doing bad and getting in Charlie and Itchy's way. If the seris followed the first movie correctly, Killer would've shown guilt in ever following Carface and refuse to work with him ever again. Maybe he would even be living with Annie-Marie. So yeah, it irks me that Killer is classified as a bad guy in the series. Annabelle also get annoying in the series. I know some of you like her voice in the series, but everytime I hear her talk, I wanna slap her! I mean, sure maybe she's gotton older and learned to distrust Charlie, but since when do angels grow old and I thought she would trust him again after risking his life to save a little girl. Belladona is a pretty annoying villain, but you guys already talked about that. Carface's antics in the series are pretty stupid compared to what kind of schemes he pulled off in the first movie.

Another character that has been turned around some is Itchy. He was always the voice of common sense around Charlie, but he wasn't Charlie's conscience in the first film. He happily helped Charlie steal Hal's wallet and the only time he liked Anne Marie at all until the very end was when she was making piles of money for him and Charlie. Itchy somehow became a paragon of virtue by the time of ADGTH2 and definately was Mr. Squeekly clean by the time of the series. Sure, he might have softened up some by living with Anne Marie, but to totally reform from a partner in crime?

ADGTH was released in the 1930's?! Wow, I am so slow... I mean... really, I am SLOOOOOW. All I heard about the 1930's was that "Of Mice and Men" (I love that book... so tragic...) was written and World War 2 and such... or maybe it was just SET in 1930's...?
And yea, I have always noticed, from the very start, how much characters seem out of character. If you watch one episode (I think it's called "How Scratchy met Itchy" or vice versa. Research is the key, my dears), it had totally messed up the storyline completely. COMPLETELY. I mean... after, I thought "Jeez... what a scam..."
Hunch is right about Carface's schemes. It's like something off a cartoon on Disney Channel, stealing meat? Really? And then... making them... sing?! I think that'll be enough to make me vegetarian. Even though I am a fan of that episode, the singing meat and the "scheme" (I wasn't even fully sure what that was even about... was it taking Charlie to the bad side, or was that just a bonus for taking over the meat factory?) was just too much.

No, ADGTH was released in 1989, it's set in the 1930's.
Also, in the episode "Sidekicked" (though I like that episode since it centers around my two favorite characters), Killer calls Carface his "friend" after learning how loyal to Itchy Charlie is. Again, look at the first movie. Clearly Carface never thought of Killer as anything of value and Killer knew that. It was also implied that Killer was guilty of working for Carface, was scared of him, and maybe even wanted to stop working for him to have his own life. So why is Killer suddenly thinking of Carface as his friend? Even in the series, Carface treats Killer like crap. Not as much as in the movie, but he still does. What is this teaching kids, to do everything for your friend if they never did anything for you?

At least in the first movie, I've always figured that Killer was such a wus who didn't stand a chance on the streets by himself that he had to stick with a though guy like Carface. Carface was his protection and his meal ticket.

Carface was his protection and his meal ticket. That makes sense. Killer is weak, but I still don't think he would ever call Carface his friend. His boss, but not his friend. Also, if Killer was dependent on Carface, what do you think happened to him after Carface died? I would like to say he was living with Annie-Marie since he saved her, but Annie-Marie already had Itchy, Flo, and Flo's orphan pups, so I don't think her parents would want to have so many dogs, unless maybe her parents put the puppies up for adoption. Another possibility is that Killer died soon after saving Annie-Marie ( ) and that Carface made a deal with Red to bring Killer back to life so he can be Carface's lacky again.

Maybe he got adopted by somebody or found another thug to grovel to. All those attack dogs that escaped from Carface's ship might have let him tag along.
