When the wolf dog female had told Soapy that she looked like one Soapy thingyed her head and dismissed the thought. There were more important matters. "Yeah", Soapy agreed. "Thanks. I assume I passed you without realizing it as I was chasing it. You must have seen me." Soapy looked at the male who set down a bottle and sniffed at it. The male dog told Soapy that he was with the other female and Soapy nodded as he stared at her collar. He agreed to follow after the whisp and Soapy nodded. "What is that stuff?", Soapy asked. "Looks like water. Wait....I remember Jason's mother having one of these. She was very religious. It's called holy water right?" The whisp above whistled and hovered over the three dogs like a hawk. "Actually", said Soapy. "Tell me after we follow this thing as well as your names. We have to find out where its leading me." No sooner than Soapy had said that the whisp took off. "There it goes!", Soapy said, taking off after it. Soapy had run for another good hour after the whisp and where it led her shocked her. She saw the whisp fly through the wrought iron gate of a cemetery then land on a grave like a falling star. "It wants me to look at that grave", Soapy called to the other dogs. "But why? What's in there?" Soapy paced in front of the gate, trying to find a way in but she didn't see any holes big enough. She jumped up on the gate and used her forepaws to push it, trying to see if the gate was loose. No luck. "Aw man", said Soapy jumping down. "There's no way in. And it looks too high to jump. How are we supposed to get in?" She turned to the two other dogs. "Guys", she said. "See if you can find a way in or something. A big hole, a low fence, anything. I'll stay here in case the whisp appears again. I know where it landed so maybe it'll appear again. I'll also keep trying on pushing on these gates but they appear locked. See that padlock there? Maybe there's a back way in. Where there a cemetery there must be a church nearby. Although, I don't see one."
(OOC-Bleh short. And No prob Kintaros. All in a days work. LOL. And I see you took the same test I did. But ooooh you're white. Glad I'm not an enemy of yours. Hehe)

Zoey watched as Charlie walked closer to her, asking about the new guy. "Hey Charlie. This rascal here..."
"Ahem!" Aric interrupted. "I am Aric. Adventure, wander, living life until the end." Aric spoke under his breath: And hearing tales of you, that is always sooner than wanted.
"You have to pardon him, he's a bit nuts in the head. He says that he's cursed and could die at any moment." Zoey said, rolling her eyes.
"Hey, I was cursed! Er, am cursed! If you didn't want to hear about my tribe's ways, then you shouldn't have asked on the way over here."
It seemed as if Zoey and Aric were about to erupt into another argument, but right about then Itchy was returning with a towel. "Here you go Zoey."
Zoey wrapped the warm towel around her, taking a moment to simply enjoy the warmth. "Thanks Itchy. So then how have you been?"
"Just fine, apart from the weather. By the way, great performance last Friday. Absolutely brought the house down."
"Aw," Zoey blushed, "You always say that, you little dachshund you."
"Yeah, yeah, enough of the touchy crap." Aric blurted. "You all got anything to eat around here? I'm starved."
Itchy pointed back towards the kitchen. "Sure, but you'll have to get through the guard of all things edible." he said with a chuckle.
"Hush," Zoey spoke. "You know Sasha doesn't take well to jokes like that. It's a miracle she can stand Charlie."
"Sure, yeah." Itchy said, almost unnervingly. Strange, he thought. it isn't like her to joke so much.
(OOC: Unlike Mickey, Aric is not totally naive. And the storm seems to be doing strange things with Zoey...but as long as I make her personality clash with Aric's it all makes for good writing!)

( wonderdog: Sorry for not waiting long enough for your characters to join; if you'd like you can catch up with them and meet up in your next reply) Keith was about to answer until the wisp flew off, and at Soapy's command the two dashed off along with her, the male grabbing the holy water bottle in his teeth once more. As they arrived at the cemetery, they saw the will o' wisp land at a grave site. Keith looked over the gate. Seeing the padlock, he doubted even he could jimmy it open. The German Shepherd-Husky mix was on the case, and setting the bottle down near Naomi padded away to seek a way in. Naomi nodded to Soapy, saying to her before leaving, "Make sure nothing happens to that bottle, please... it is indeed holy water. Or, at least, it's supposed to be. I don't trust fundies any farther than I can throw them, and one of their religious stores is where his owner got that. Oh, yeah... my name's Naomi, and his is Keith". With that, she headed off in the other direction, also searching for a way in. Keith peered at the ground near the gate as he walked around it. He didn't like the feeling he was getting that day... probably because of the ghost sighting and the fact that he couldn't stop thinking about his dad once his mind drifted off that day. Was this some kind of sign? Or was it an ill omen? Either way, after about a half-minute, Keith located a small ditch beneath the bars of the gate. He let out a brief howl to signal the two ladies, then began to furiously dig at it, trying to make it deep enough that they could slip underneath. ~~~ Charlie rolled his eyes at the thought of the curse. He felt he could trust Zoey when she said he was a bit off in the head, the dog a bit skeptical of such things despite all he had been through in his existence. He nodded as Itchy commended Zoey on her performance, Charlie having enjoyed it immensely. He couldn't help but think back a bit to Sasha's own performance those countless days ago when he first saw her. When Charlie heard Itchy's remark on the food, Charlie at first thought Itchy was messing with him. "Hey, pal, I take offense to that", he said in a kidding voice, only realizing a moment later that he was referring to Sasha. Keeping his cool, he then said to Zoey, "No worries, Zoey, I'll help you get something from the ball and chain in the back. What would you like?"

(OOC- Sorry Soapy, but after this, I'll wait for you.)
Soapy had suddenly ran off with two other mutts Britney didn't recognize. Britney tilted her head in confusion. "Where are they going?" Britney asked. "Who knows, but it does no harm to follow" Poppy replied, already tracing their tracks. "Poppy! Get back here! We'll catch up later!" Britney seethed, but Poppy did not stop. Britney trotted after her sister, impatiently. "Don't you think it's wiser to just... I dunno... get outta this stupid rain?!" "Rain never hurt anybody" Poppy said. She shivered violently. "See? You're cold. Let's go" Britney said. "No... no, it's this idiotic spirit... can't it see I'm busy nursing Ivy?!" Poppy snarled, before trotting on wards. Britney sighed, looked behind her (because it felt like they were being followed) and then proceeded to attempt catching up with Poppy. Poppy was a faster runner than Britney, as her slim figure and nimble legs were used to running her whole life. Running away from others. "A graveyard?" Britney asked. "Nuh -uh. no way, not for me. You know, Poppy, you KNOW I can't even bear to be in the same place as dead things!" "Oh, get over it!" Poppy said, sharply. "You need to conquer your fears!" "I don't WANT to conquer my fears!" Britney shouted over the loud storm. "Coward!" Poppy replied, loudly. Poppy watched Soapy looked at the gate but slowly start to walk away. "Trouble..." "Yea, no way in, let's... GO" Britney snarled. "No!" Poppy shouted back. She saw the wisp Soapy had seen. "Do you see that?" "Do I see what?" Britney asked, rolling her eyes. "No, I don't, let's go home now." "That... thing... in the graveyard! That THING!" Poppy yelled, staring at it, snarling savagely at it. "It's not positive anyway." "Wow, a spirit you DON'T like" Britney said, chuckling harshly. "Where have the days gone?" "I have to get it..." Poppy said, slowly. "I have to." Her emerald green eyes sparkled. "And maybe my spirit can help me." A dark wisp of their own wafted through the air, hovering in the air for a minute. "Must it?" Britney winced. The wisp flew across the air and landed in the graveyard as well, resembling the way the first one had. "There's something in there... there is..." Poppy watched Keith call the others over and once it was safe, Poppy shot across to the gate. Poppy was smaller and more nimble than Soapy so she slipped through one of the larger holes after digging at it for a bit. "Poppy, don't go in there!" Britney screamed, But Poppy was already in, padding through the graveyard. "You... you..." Britney growled before walking over. "And how to you suppose I get there, huh? Fly?" "I'll help..." Poppy said, scanning the gate with her eyes. "Hmmm..."

Soapy nodded at the female who had stayed behind and told Soapy to keep that bottle of holy water safe. "Okay", said Soapy. "You got it". With a last thought the female introduced herself as Naomi and said the male was named Keith. Soapy watched her run off and Soapy instantly picked up the bottle of holy water in her teeth then began to search around for a way in. She looked in bushes and walked along the back, looking for a hole or something, anything to get inside. Soapy suddenly heard a loud clap of thunder and groaned as it started raining again, her fur getting soaking wet. She felt a chill run through her but rain couldn't stop her, not when that wisp was just a few feet away. She tried the gates again trying to squeeze herself under the bars without getting stabbed. she could only fit her nose under there. She sighed and leaped up at the gates with her forepaws, pushing as hard as she could. Not even a rattle. What now?, Soapy thought. There's nowhere else to go. I hope Naomi and Keith are having better luck. It was at that moment Soapy heard a howl and almost jumped out of her skin and almost dropped the bottle. But as soon as Soapy felt it slip out of her teeth a little she threw her head back and held the bottle securely in her mouth as she ran over to the spot where the howl had come from. She found Keith in a ditch digging furiously in it, almost getting hit by the flying dirt which had turned to mud. Soapy looked at the sides of the ditch and noticed that the rain was sinking in more mud. Soapy thought about warning him but when she saw Naomi come around she ran over to her. "Here", said Soapy, placing the bottle of holy water in front of Naomi. "I kept it safe like you asked me to but right now I need to help Keith. He found a ditch leading into the graveyard and the rain is making the mud cave in more. I have to help him." Without another word, Soapy took off after Keith and leaped into the wet, muddy hole and started to dig as fast as she could, mud getting caked on her legs and paws. "Keith", said Soapy. "Just a little more. I think we're almost there". Soapy kept digging, ignoring the chills that shook her body. It was when she looked up she saw her. "Poppy!", Soapy called. "Poppy over here!" Once Poppy approached Soapy panted out, 'Poppy, is Britney with you? You know she hates it when you wander on your own. Ugh, no matter. Help us dig! We have to get in there!' Soapy also called out Britney's name as she started to dig more furiously along with Keith, becoming more and more muddy. She could just imagine how she would look after she went under the gate. I'm so getting a bath when I get home, Soapy thought. Along with her, Keith, and Poppy, they got the hole deep enough to crawl under the gate. Soapy, being the second smallest out of the group crawled clumsily under the gate and leaped out when she reached the other side of the graveyard. She lifted herself out of the slippery mud and shook herself off to rid the extra packed mud. "Okay guys", said Soapy. "I'm in. Now we need to get you guys in". With that Soapy began digging along with Poppy, her eyes scanning to Naomi and Britney. "Guys help Keith", she yelled to them over the sound of thunder. "There's gonna be another avalanche of mud. Hurry!" Still digging furiously, Soapy felt her legs and paws start to hurt but she couldn't just leave the others here. She bit back a yelp of pain and kept digging. "Almost Poppy", Soapy said in a pained way. "Almost there."
(OOC-Yay! A post. Sorry it's not longer guys. It was rushed sort of. Bear with the suckiness. And KT, just a suggestion but can we have a posting order so things don't get confusing?)

Poppy heard her name being yelled and saw Soapy calling her over. She obeyed and approached, with a smile on her face. "Hello Soapy" she said. Being told to dig wasn't what she was usually told to do. It was mostly "shut up" or "stop it". But once again, she obeyed. "Yes, Britney is here" Poppy said, beginning to dig. "She is just looking for a way in." When Soapy called Britney's name, Britney perked up. "Hello, who's that I hear?" she asked before running over to where she heard the sound and saw an unusual sight. Three mutts and one on the other side, frantically digging their way through a ditch. The rain was making the mud wet and clingy. Britney winced. They probably expected her to dig at that... No matter... she thought to herself. You are not afraid to get muddy... beside a graveyard... you are NOT afraid of graveyards. "I'll help" Britney said, a little gloomily and started to dig as well. Mud splattered over her hind legs and Britney grimaced. She shook some off her tail and proceeded in digging again. Poppy was more energetic, she worked harder than Britney. Mud was tossed like it was flying from a snow machine. Poppy could fit through now. But she wasn't sure the others could. "I think I've dug up enough for you to squeeze through" Poppy said, still digging however. "Does anyone want to try?" "Me" Britney said, almost immediately. "I will." She slipped through the hole, a little roughly but she made it. "I can fit though... but yet again, I HAVE been misery fasting yesterday..." "You should really stop doing that" Poppy panted, looking up from her work. "Starving yourself." "It's called misery fasting" Britney snapped, rolling her eyes. "And besides, you do it sometimes." Poppy was silent. She just continued to dig.

Soapy made a face at the mud she was digging at started to cake on her paws and become as thick as cement. She could barely get enough dirt back behind her it was so heavy from the rain. She also noticed the ditch was now turning into a small pool, a disgusting muddy pool. "Keith!", she called breathlessly. "See if you can squeeze under now and don't sli-" Soapy was cut off by her paws slipping and sliding on the slippery mud, causing her to roll down into the ditch, getting covered head to paw with the freezing cold rain and mud and crashing into Keith and Britney, making them fall in the muck too. "Sorry", Soapy yelped. She stared at Poppy on the side of the graveyard and shook the extra mud and water off her now brownish body. "Poppy", she said. "Help me get back under there. It's too slippery now." Soapy tried clawing her way up the muddy edges but her paws slipped off every time she tried to climb more than a few inches. She landed with a 'splat' into the muddy water and muck, on her back this time. "Okay", said Soapy, sitting up in the now waist deep muddy water. "This isn't working. Somebody push me back up into the graveyard. And for that matter, Britney, what exactly is misery fasting? It doesn't sound good." Soapy tried standing up but slid on the slippery mud beneath her paws. "Aw man", said Soapy. "Somebody do something. I can't...." She was cut off as she slid again, this time, smashing her rear into Keith's face. "Ow", she grumbled. She looked behind her and couldn't help but laugh. Everyone except Poppy and Naomi was covered head to paw in mud and muck. If only they knew how silly they actually looked. You should she yourselves", Soapy laughed. "You look so silly." She let out a few more giggles and then stopped as she looked up. She thought it was a bolt of lightning but what she saw made her gasp. It was the wisp and it was floating right above them. "Look!", Soapy yelled over a thunderclap. "Look its the wisp! Right above us!" Soapy watched as it swirled above them then continued to swirl over the gate into the graveyard where Poppy was and back into that same grave. "What do you suppose it's telling us?", Soapy asked. "Poppy you're the spirit speaker, what does it want?" Soapy took a leap for the edge of the other side of the ditch that led into the graveyard and almost made it before an avalanche of water and mud crashed upon her, making her slide back down into the ditch. She growled softly and glared at the graveyard gates noticing something. She had to double check to make sure that what she was seeing was really there. It was. How did she not notice that statue before? How did ANYONE miss it? "Uh guys", said Soapy, still fumbling around in the ditch. "Um.....I hate to be a party crasher but uh....this graveyard isn't a human graveyard. See those two statues at the top of the gate in the front? They look like dogs. Cement dogs. This is a pet....ceme....tary". A feeling of dread washed over Soapy. So the wisps were the souls of animals? Not humans? If so, what KIND of animals did these souls belong to? Soapy shuttered at the thought.
(OOC-Sorry for posting so soon. I had this idea in my head since like, earlier today. A little fun in the mud and a creepy realization. I feel like I could've done better with this post but eh.....tired.....)

( Soapy and the others: No problem in posting so soon. As for a posting order, I'm not 100% sure; Annabella has yet to reply and I'm unsure how often Charmyte would get to reply per day. I'd just prefer not slowing things down, but if everyone wants a posting order, I'd be glad to make one) Keith dug and dug, Naomi joining in once there was enough space for her. He had barely any time to speak a reply to Soapy before she slipped. The contact of tail with his muzzle caused him to stagger, slip, and fall into the mud. Forcing himself back up, he blushed a bit in embarrassment as Naomi chuckled loudly at the group's silly appearances. Soon enough, Keith entered the ditch. The dread that Soapy had from what she saw made Keith downright jittery in fright. "U... Uhhh..." he muttered. He tried to focus himself, closing his eyes and forcing himself to be strong. Naomi joined the group in the ditch, pondering what the animal's ghost wished to say. She purposely refused to listen in, not only to at least make an effort to keep her powers a secret but also to see if this Poppy dog really did have the abilities she was said to possess.

Britney fuddled around in the wet mud, snarling savagely as if the mud were alive. "Stupid mud... I hate it!" she seethed, slamming her fore paws down on it before pulling herself back up again. She tried to dig again but was more cautious about falling back in again. That's the last thing she wanted. Poppy was more hard working, digging with all her might. "Misery fasting?" Poppy repeated. "Well, it's-" "Is now really the time? Seriously?" Britney butted in, a little too fast. "We have more important things to work on." When Soapy pointed out the wisp, Poppy looked up to see it. She wasn't freaked out by out... she wasn't even slightly uneasy. She was relaxed and almost like this was seen everyday, like cars zooming past a highway. "Ah, I see it" Poppy said. When Soapy asked her to talk to it, Poppy obeyed and stopped digging. "If you insist." She turned and stared at it. "What are you doing, staring at it?!" Britney seethed. "What's that going to d-!" "It's not human" Poppy said, cutting her sister off completely. "It's telling me it's not a human." "Are you sure that's not you conscious?" Britney asked, looking around. She laid her eyes on the gate and saw the cement dogs, luminated by the lighting. Britney jumped and screamed at the startlement on seeing this but calmed when she realized they weren't going to hurt her. After all... they were only statues... "Oh lord..." she whispered. "Do you think...?" She looked at Soapy after she said it was a pet cemetery. "My thoughts exactly... but why would there be a cemetery for pets?" Poppy turned around. "It says it's been here for ages. It's decades old." Poppy gazed around. "It should be obvious to see." She turned back to it. "This spirit is angry about something... miserable about it too..." "Well, that settles it" Britney said. "We're doomed."
(OOC- Not good but... yea, it'll do I guess.)

Soapy dug a little more at the edge then was eventually able to slide underneath, making it into the graveyard, almost hitting into Poppy. She got up and listened to Poppy speak about the spirit and tilted her head to look at the wisp. "Yes", said Soapy. "It's definably upset. I feel a sharp sadness from it". She looked down at Britney. "No Poppy's right", said Soapy. "It has to be an animal spirit. Otherwise, how was I able to talk to it and have it understand me? Why would it come to me?" Soapy looked around her, pondering Britney's question about why there was a cemetary with pets. "The same as there is for humans", Soapy said. "Toby said his old dog Rex had been hit by a car and since his yard is too small they buried him in a pet cemetary." Soapy looked down to acknowlage Britney that she was talking to her then looked back at Poppy. "It has?", Soapy asked about the wisp. She looked at it and saw it swirling. "It seems angry." She listened as Poppy said it was angry. That made Soapy think. It was angry..... "I feel anger", said Soapy. "Almost frustration from it." She heard Britney annouce they were doomed and shook her head. "Maybe it's looking for friends", said Soapy. "Is it angry and miserable because it can't make friends? Or doesn't have any?" A thought passed through Soapy's mind. "Can you tell what kind of animal it is Poppy?" As soon as the words had left Soapy's mouth the wisp took off and landed behind her in the grave. "After it!", she yelled, suddenly remembering the struggling others. "Poppy go! I'll catch up. The others still need to get in!" With that, Soapy stuck her muddy, achy paws in the thick mud being formed from the rain and started to dig again, making sure she wasn't too close to the edge in case she slipped again.
(OOC-Eh it'll do I guess. I could've done better methinks. I also want to point out that the wisp I'm controlling and stuff, anyone can control. For all I care you guys can make it transform into a full on ghost if you want. It can also move when your characters are talking to it. Just because I was controlling it first doesn't make it an NPC)

Poppy nodded slowly when Soapy agreed, not taking her eyes off the wisp. She was silent. Britney watched before turning to Soapy. "Well, I suppose it can't be if it's taking us here" Britney muttered. "But why? Why does it WANT us here?" she looked at her sister, as if asking her the answer. Yet Poppy didn't stir. "But who in the right mind would make one? not that we don't deserve it but... why?" "Whoever built it was keen on animals" Poppy interrupted. "It told me that. The wisp was the first animal buried here, it's telling me. It must be thousands of years old..." "That figures, those statues look like their from the 14th Century or something" Britney shuddered. "Take or give a decade or two but... yenno what I mean." "I would be surprised if you didn't feel anger from it, Soapy" Poppy said. "It's very willing and desperate to show us something it doesn't want to speak out. No wonder it's frustrated." Poppy examined it. "No, it's not that. In fact, if anything, I don't think it wants friends" Poppy added, when Soapy brought the subject up. "He's very reluctant to have us here in the first place." "Which brings us back to... we're doomed" Britney muttered, glancing over her shoulder in paranoia. "I can try to determine what animal it could be" Poppy said, squinting at it. "It doesn't want to show me or tell me though." "Well, force it to" Britney said. Poppy looked at her sister with a expression of that's the stupidest idea I've ever heard. "Do you REALLY think I can force a spirit to do anything?" Poppy retorted before turning back to it. It was floating away. Poppy raced after it on Soapy's word, following it to the back of the graveyard. Poppy wasn't afraid of graves. If anything, she had a sense of calmness around them. With the dead, she could be anything. A follower to a master. The variety to choose from was rather stunning in Poppy's view. Anyone else would run away at the sight of it. Not Poppy though. Mostly because... Poppy's crazy. She followed the wisp off into the graveyard. Finally, it stopped, landing a few yards away from her. Poppy gazed around. The gravestones looked extremely ancient at this part of the graveyard. Poppy looked at the wisp. "Are you a dog?" she asked it. No response. "What about a cat?" Still no response. "Wolf?" Nothing. "Rabbit, mouse, gerbil, horse, cow?" Zero. "What ARE you?!" Poppy stood, awaiting an answer. The wisp hovered there, in mid air. Almost majestically. "Are you... well, of course you are! Why didn't I see it before!" Poppy exploded. "You're sneaky, your majestic, you're quick... you're a fox, aren't you?"
(OOC- I think I'd make it a fox. Foxes are awesome anyway. If that's OK with everyone else, that is. I'll edit it if it's not.)

Zoey was slow on the uptake for Charlie's question. "Huh? Oh, nothing special. Just a ham sandwich if you can."
"And for me," Aric began, "I'll have a lightly roasted chicken breast, with a side of,"
"Hey big shot," Itchy butted in. "He didn't ask you. What are you supposed to be anyways? Husky? Tamaskan?"
"I am one hundred percent pure wolf. It is in my veins, it is in my fur, it is in my very soul!"
Itchy stood at him like a hawk. "You must be crazy."
"Are you denying my status as a wolf!?" Aric growled.
"No, you just aren't the most stable of the wolves."
Zoey placed the towel spread out on the floor and laid down. "Oh Aric, don't try to deny it. If anything, you aren't the smartest. It takes quite an idiot to get himself trapped in a shipping box."
"Really?" Itchy asked.
"Oh yeah," Zoey laughed. "Not even a crate. It was a box."
Aric sat there with a blank stare. "For the record, it was an animal shipping package."
"Sure, a box for ferrets!" Zoey laughed.
Okay, now this is definitely not like her. Itchy thought. "Zoey, are you feeling okay? You aren't acting like yourself."
"Me?" Zoey tried to speak between laughs. "Are you...are you kidding? I'm fine! Just as...just as juxtaposed as the next hamburger!"
But unbeknown to any of them, a mysterious green mist was emerging from underneath The Flea Bite's doors...
(OOC: Oh no! The dreaded "..." at the end of a post! Cue the drama! Let's see where that idea leads! Finally feeling better, as far as posting, if I'm lucky I could make two posts a day, at worst none. And for the record, a Tamaskan is a breed of dog that greatly resembles a wolf.)
