Britney blinked, rather stumped that Paul understood the scenario and she had stopped laughing. How could any human possibly do that? Poppy was instantly flicking an imanginary book in her head for an answer of conspiracy, as usual. Jimmy, on the other hand, took no notice whats-so-ever. Jimmy never took interest in anything. Britney rolled her eyes when she noticed this and shook her head.
"He can?" Poppy asked, when Naomi told then what they were all obviously questioining. "Wow, what a power! Is there any reason? I mean... was he cursed? No, I mean charmed? You couldn't really call that curse, could you?" She giggled at her own mistake, on which Jimmy averted his eyes to the left in irratation before looking back again.
When Naomi told therm to watch what they said, Britney and Poppy instantly turned their heads to look at Jimmy. Jimmy bared his teeth in a snarl.
"What?! I can be well mannered if I wanna be!" he seethed.
"No. Really, you can't" Britney scoffed. Now that the giddiness was over, it was time for the grouchiness to kick in. "You wouldn't no manners if it came up and punched you in the face, idiot!"
Jimmy snarled again and lowered down into an attack posistion. He didn't take insults very well... Poppy placed herself between them.
"Now is not the time" she said, softly. "Really, get a hold of yourselves!"
"Oh, stuff it, Poppy" Jimmy snapped, however he sat up again, Britney mirroring his actions. They glared at each other for a while longer before averting their eyes away from each other. Poppy looked at Jimmy a little longer. She could read people like a book and he had a secret. But before she could even think about pressing him for answers, Britney called her over to talk to her about something. So, Poppy left it. But that wasn't the only thing bothering her. She looked out a window into the dark sky and shuddered. There was something out there.
But now wasn't the time to investigate.
Arakiti lay on the roof of a house, her tail hanging off the edge, flicking to the right and left in interest as she watched the pack. A smirk crawled across her face.
"Trouble? Again? I didn't even lift a finger this time!" she laughed, cruelly. The dog beside her, Ruka, sat up, watching them with wide, exhilerated eyes.
"I saw the Shadow Hounds. They defeated them? How so?" Ruka asked her mistress. Arakiti chuckled darkly.
"They had holy water on them, Ruka. Trust a few religious mutts to come running to the rescue. It's like Annabelle came down herself." Arakiti glared up at the sky. Ruka also looked up, minus the glare. Arakiti looked at the pack again. "This is far from over, though. The storm is still going. This should be an interesting night."
"Are we getting invovled, Arakiti?" Ruka asked her. Arakiti smirked once more.
"Prehaps" she said, chuckling whilst giving a mysterious look at her comrade. Ruka joined the laughter with her usual hysterical laughter.
(OOC- Ugh, sorry Soapy! Trying to kick some life back into here! I kept thinking of "You feel sick, you better go to a hospital... *stands* Do you want me to beat you up... in the hospital?!" for some strange reason whilst typing out Britney and Jimmy's little battle. But where did that line come out of anyway?! If you don't know where it's from... ha, you'll never know >
